Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Starhammer

Our story begins with the chance meeting of two scientists. One, Victor de Estrella specialized in the study of high energy physics and was working on a means to create hard-light materials. The other, Victoria Martel, was a bioengineer focused on developing therapies to replace damaged tissue with synthetic nano-particles. Both commonly answered to "Vick" as a nickname, so when a mutual associate (Michael Bridger, creator of the international megacorporation, Starcom... a conglomerate of companies using advanced technology for everything from pharmaceutical and military industries to manufacture of food, clothing, and housing for low income groups. Though not publicly known, Michael Bridger is also a metahuman, a half-angel nephilim. Though a being of significant physical prowess, he believes the greatest power resulting from his heritage is the ability to see what decisions will have the furthest reaching outcomes for humanity, though no details about what form that outcome may take) saw one at a conference on metahuman response technologies in Titan City and called out, both answered. Following an impromptu verbal slapstick routine right out of most romantic comedy films, the two became friends, eventually lovers, and were later married, as Mr. and Mrs. Estrella de Martel.

Not long after getting married, both gained the opportunity to take a research position on Starcom's new space station, Hyperion X (X referencing Experimental, rather than the Roman numeral 10). While things were going quite well for the first few weeks, with both making huge strides in their respective research projects, catastrophe occurred when time-traveling megalomaniac, Lord Leonidas Malacroix, stole material from the stations Tartarus Reactor to create his superweapon, The Soulburner. His actions destroyed the reactor, and with it, the entire station. Hundreds of people were killed. If not for the fact that Victor and Victoria were working on a combined experiment to use force field technology to stabilize synthetic stem cells, both would have been killed instantly in the explosion. As it was, their lives were still altered in a spectacular and irrevocable manner.

Both their bodies were protected from the initial blast, but the unique properties of the energy released by the Tartarus reactor overpowered the force field, infusing it with what is believed to have been an absorptive redistribution matrix, which then proceeded to consume all physical matter within its confines. Nobody knows how or why the intellect of the couple survived the process, but their bodies were no more... replaced with a semi-corporeal self-sustaining force field. The minds of Victor and Victoria are now permanently conjoined, allowing them instant communication and an inherent emotional companionship with themselves, but they retain a sense of individuality as well, which is sometimes a benefit, and other times a life threatening complication. Though capable of multitasking their thoughts, control of the near-godlike powersource they have inherited can only be accomplished when their will is perfectly aligned (Their desire for each others safety may have had something to do with why the power protected their minds). When properly focused, they can control nearly any aspect of their new "body" changing shape, color, and even density to the point of becoming an indestructible force field or a being of zero physical cohesion. This body can absorb, alter, and emit energy in more ways than they have yet to imagine, but that they most easily find themselves performing in a manner closely associated with their scientific expertise.

[Addition 1]

Upon learning of the Hyperion disaster, Michael Bridger led the rescue/salvage mission from the Starcom shuttle "Valor" even though it seemed unlikely there would be anyone or anything to rescue or salvage. He knew he had to try however, and it was because of his efforts that the amorphous energy blob that would become Starhammer was found. Returning to Titan City with the strange creature, Bridger brought it to a research facility that it was fortunately familiar with. It took time, but eventually the being was able to learn how to communicate with Bridger, who immediately quarantined it from the rest of the research staff upon realizing the combined identity of his friends, whom he thought dead in the explosion.

Over time, and through use of their friend's research facility and with his assistance, "The Vics" learned to better control their new body. Originally, they had no intent of playing the part of "super hero" but rather were interested in studying their new state of being. Fate had different plans however, and a raid on the facility by the Rooks put the being in a position of having to use it's powers to protect lives and property. After this incident, they were discussing what to do with Bridger. He suggested that if they were to take up the mantle of a costumed crimefighter, it may be best to let their previous identities remain dead, for the safety of their family and friends. After a period of brainstorming, they came up with the name "Starhammer" which was a rough, multilingual translation of their family names, and decided to take the name "Vic Valor" as a new civilian name, both familiar to them and in honor of the ship that rescued them from space. Bridger had government contacts that owed him favors, so it wasn't difficult to have a new identity manufactured for Vic, one that would at least pass technical muster. Soon after, Vic Valor, AKA Starhammer, registered with the Department of Public Safety. Vic also maintains a position with Starcom as a "consultant," with significant pay and access to corporate resources such as a downtown condo, company car, and access to a corporate expense account, for purposes of helping to substantiate the civilian identity, even though in reality Starhammer has little need for food, shelter, or money.

More to be added later...

*Disclaimer: Due to my limited education and flights of fancy, I should point out that the Vics are practitioners of SCIENCE! rather than science.
