Yes, blue Hon shot first! I have my Star Wars Geek card. One reason my brain is thinking of other types of characters instead of just the White Wing Squadron. A Hon Solo or Boba Fett the non-aligned character to add flair.

I'm thinking the bombers and their escorts are heading directly to the prize ship, and won't pass within medium ion cannon range. But the closest should stay within long range for time enough to take a third shot, if only barely.

Yeah, it's not [I]my[/I] opinion of Trandoshans that counts. Palpatine has had a few near-humans in his service, but by the time of Episode IV, almost all we see are plain vanilla humans. So unless Jaycin Corvo pulled strings for a friend, we can expect the Trandoshan to be very skilled.
