Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Speedsters Unite! (A question from a concerned speedster)

Hello! I'm not really "new" but i'm new at making subjects on this forum, so please correct me if I go out of line during this. I actually just have a few questions as a speedster in nearly EVERY superpower'd game/any chance I get. Will there be a way to increase your speed? More specifically maybe buffs, add on, or a point system? I really hate when I play as a speedster and the speed is kept at a crawl because some people's eyes can't handle the game at certain speeds or what have you, so I was wondering if they'll be an option to increase your speed?

I would highly doubt that

I would highly doubt that with CoH having super speed and additional ways to increase your rate of movement that CoT would do anything less.

There has been much talk of

There has been much talk of giving powersets like Speed a bit more love than CoX was able. Both travel and power wise.

I've always been a big fan of

I've always been a big fan of speedsters in comics, but have never really been satisfied with how they play in game. The only realistic portrayal of superspeed that I can think of is bullet time mechanics, but i'd have to imagine that'd be impossible in an mmo

Iplayed in CO and CoH both as

Iplayed in CO and CoH both as speedsters. In CoH I could feel like it worth to take SS. Yes it was hard to control but it was fast enough to wnjoy the experience. On CO..............it was not feel like SS but I am at the running speed of an athlete instead. Not sure DCUO but definitly I would like to see something closer to CoH's (if not better) rather than CO's.

I think what usually limits the top speed of speeders in games like this isn't technically the player's ability to handle it but the game engine itself. If a game system let you go as fast as you'd want the graphics probably couldn't keep up and all you'd see would be glitchy, laggy blurs of color instead of buildings and people flying by. I'm afraid there will probably always be max speed caps in games like this because of that.

Now as to whether they'll be ways to "increase your speed" who knows. Maybe they'll have ways to let you temporarily boost your top speed for short bursts or maybe they'll allow you to slowly acclerate a little past the cap if you can maintain a straight line of travel over a long period of time. Lots of ways they can keep superspeed feeling "fast" even if there is a top speed limit.

Personally, I hope movement

Personally, I hope movement speed is a mechanic we can invest in and that we can use travel powers in combat. WHY? Because Crowd Control should be dynamic. If means playing as a crowd controller isn't just a matter of "Mez" but I can instead i can actually enjoy a tiered system like what I proposed.

0-1000 Mez points = Slow
Explanation: 10 MP is -1% movement speed this is linear progression to 1000 MP that has is -100% movement. At -100% Movement speed the target is rooted

1000-2000 Mez points = Fatigue
Explanation: 1010 MP is a =1% attack speed and 2000 MP is -100% Attack speed. At -100% Attack speed the target is unable to attack *but can still use other casts*

2000-2500 Mez points = Stun
Explanation: Stunned targets cannot attack and they must break free of the stun to attack again. Notice that this is substantially shorter and capped meaning stunned characters will likely be able to attack again relatively soon when attacked.

That being said.. I think there need to be some built in Mez resistance so it's harder to root speedsters.

Well it seems if they can adopt a more scaled Mez system like this instead of the "binary" one CoH had then maybe they can also allow for a version of Travel Suppression that'll act in a more smoothly curved fashion instead of the "abrupt 4 second hard slowdown and speedup" CoH enforced.

I really don't think we're ever going to get away with not having some form of Travel Suppression (like I think you're trying to suggest here). But if the Travel Suppression was more fluid in the way it slows you down and then let's you speed back up then I think it wouldn't be hated quite so much.

Wasn't "Travel Suppression"

Wasn't "Travel Suppression" really for the PvP crowd?

i.e.; "Whaaahhh!! I can't gank dems!! Dey keeps flyins aways!!!!" ...

"Ok, ok.. calm down, Timmy.. we'll add a function that makes them have a hard time flying away from you.. all good now? Where's your bottle?!?"

It was probably mostly for the PvPers but I think the Devs threw it in there as one of those "anti-exploit" measures for PvE as well. They didn't want people to have it too easy kitting back and forth through MOBs.

Thanks for the reply guys!

Thanks for the reply guys! You all had some really good points. Also I just had one more plea. PLEASE CoT, PLEASE don't do what DCUO did, giving speedsters some ridiculous jumping animation when in SS mode that can only be described as jumping into the air, crapping your pants and swinging your arms around wildly, like you're just hoping the air will immediately become solid so you can grab it and start running again. What speedster have they ever seen do that??

Travel Suppression was

Travel Suppression was "prompted" by PvPers after the phenomenon of "Jousting" started becoming standard practice.

True. Mud and potholes were some of the methods of restricting travel back then.
