They require different animation than a staff. You are poking people with them.

It's not an ideal set, lacking movement, but is about 80% of what is needed.

Parts of that might work for a more European long spear set, such as my Valkyrie would use.

A two-handed short spear set, with mostly jabs, slashes, and the occasional buttstrokes would also do for rifle with bayonet melee attacks. For when the assault primaries and secondaries come out. ^_^
