As the title says. Has something changed and its been pushed more?. I mean if it was going to happen soon I would imagine we would have heard something on it by now.

So what happend for the beta release mid 2016?
Let's see...
Loss of Day-job
Pregnancy
Move to New Home
Natural Disasters
Changes in Software
and "Stuff Happens"
Any and all such things contribute to the invalidation of early estimates RE timing. Read the updates and enjoy the anticipation.

Oh I am fully aware and the question was not formed in a derogatory negative sense. Id rather wait and it is done correctly than to hurry it up and jeopardize the game. However I saw nothing on it before I posted this question. Secondly it takes a few seconds to remove the estimated release date when its paste due. Keep in mind ppl google rather than coming here and that's the first thing they see. I do not have to be a business man to know that's bad marketing. Havieng said all that, there was still a chance some info was given out i was unaware of. So the simple most direct way was to ask the community.
Hmmm.
The FAQ here on the forums does still list mid 2016 as a beta release estimate. While I am very excited about the current progress and direction of the game, from what we've seen, I'd say 2016 as an estimate for a beta would qualify as "rough". I mean, really rough. Like rode-hard-and-put-up-wet rough.

Well we are past the halfway mark. Typically there is some rumors or hints that its coming or it has been pushed. But it is nether which is odd. In all my years of gaming typically when it hits this point you have some idea ether way. I think the other guy misunderstood me and thought I was complaining. But it looks to me so far no one else knows ether. That is very odd, unless they have some Lucas Arts top security on leaks thats unprecedented in gaming history. Or they were like meh
No rumors or leaks that I am yet aware of, but there was a recent thread asking about convention appearances. In that thread it was answered that they are just focusing on the making of the game right now and not to much on marketing.
Given recent updates, I'm actually putting my suspicion for when we have a working beta character creator available to the public at early 2017, maybe around January or February.
An infinite number of tries doesn't mean that any one of those tries will succeed. I could flip an infinite number of pennies an infinite number of times and, barring genuine randomness, they will never come up "Waffles".
I have been discussing an official date change.

I was wondering the same thing, but with a date change, comes the pressure of a deadline.

Ah well thank you, I am sure you guys are doing your best. A lot of us have to give the benefit of the doubt. We would also rather wait to ha e a good release than to not wait and have a bad release. Having said that not knowing is worse than knowing. So any preconceived idea in The ball park area of when we may potentially get a test of it would be nice. On a side note if you guys need help in the pvp department I'd love to help. I was one of the top rated and known and well, unbeatable. I am working concurently with a game called Espar in the pvp field. At any rate thanks for the reply

Hehe, those of us who have been playing online games since the 1990s probably wanna consider getting on beta blockers and statins, if you aren't already!
There's a lotta Star Wars coming down the pike, too, I hear. Gotta see that, too!

The very existence of the taunting tank irritates, for it requires idiotic AI that obeys the taunt.
I'm pretty agree with this estimation
Personally, I hope it's out when it's ready: many pieces, many options, and power customization. I can wait ;)

My guess from this point is November 2017 for beta. Alpha will be sooner. Counting the Alpha when the major components are merged together.

I'm not chomping at the bit for it to come sooner, I just would like a realistic estimate of when to actually expect it to come out. Those are two different things. When people ask about the timeline, they get a response of "We know you're waiting, the game's not ready yet, calm down." which is an appropriate response to the question "Where's my game?" NOT a response to the question being asked, which is "What is the time frame you currently are working with, when can we realistically expect the game to be ready?" That question get's asked many times and not often answered as such. It get's the same reply as the first.

I agree with this completely.
It is understandable that developers play thing close to the vest because many times people take any estimation as a guarantee. Dealing with that kind of unintended expectation is more than a little problematic. So developers should get a pass on being vague with answers in most situations. MWM has given a lot of valid reasons for the time it is taking to develop the game like changing to UE4, the complexity of the project and the volunteer nature of staff to name some of the biggest hurdles they have to leap.
But Radiac is correct in pointing out the difference between asking for a release date and asking for an update on development schedules. It becomes an important difference when the game is a crowdfunded effort that has passed its original delivery date for perks.
It is not a big ask to get an updated timeline without being told to be patient.
Just me dropping in to say I am still waiting patiently...

My personal guess is that they will launch at the end of 2018 with a functional game, but only about half of the features hoped for launch (this is the date estimate I would have quoted management if I was put in charge of this project at work). Maybe this is too pessimistic, but honestly, making an MMO is kind of hard, and I am generally impressed by how much that are doing with the money and manpower they have. I actually find it a little more worrying that someone thought mid 2016 was a reachable release date than the fact they didn't hit that date, but I suspect that they've got a better handle on how long things take now that they've tried to do them. Still, I wish them the best of luck, and will patiently wait for development to continue. As long as they keep communicating with us, I won't really start to worry unless we get to the middle of 2018 without a costume creator or a polished demo of nearly complete gameplay systems available.
I don't have any special insight though, so we'll see what happens!
