Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Sims 4: Create a Sim Demo -- the good and the bad

I've played a little with the Sims 4 Create a Sim demo, which is basically a stand-alone avatar creator. (It's free, if you want to it out.) I think it's worth discussing what they got right and what they got wrong, since we'll have our own avatar creator at some point.

Its best feature is you can click on a part of the avatar and get a "menu" of choices for it. No need to drill into menus, you click what you want to change. You'll see menu of pre-made shapes for a body part. Or a menu of clothes if you clicked clothing.

Or, you can also click and drag parts of the avatar to change its shape. This is especially usual for the face and head, which have a lot of degrees of freedom. The overall results of the avatar's face are amazingly good. At least to my brain, they've avoided the uncanny valley, while not being too cartoonish. CoT would do well to have a UI with similar functionality.

The thing they got the most wrong was the number of color choices. Usually something like a half-dozen pre-selected colors per clothing piece. Far too few (Sims 3 gives you full RGB control). And no texture control (also something Sims 3 has). I don't imagine CoT is making any of these mistakes.

Anyone else playing around with the Sims? It's not supers, but the roleplay and avatar parts of these games are similar enough to teach us some.

I'd be interested in playing

I'd be interested in playing around with it as a possible point of reference, but I CBA to download Origin just to get this demo.
