With the recent update on the villain groups, is there any new info on the poster super group or any good-sided super groups?
Last thing I heard was about "Rottweiler" changing names due to legal reasons or something.

The Jade Men are martial arts heroes who patrol Lotus Hills but I struggle to find real info about them.
Those are a handful, I’m sure I missed plenty.
And there was this update on the Paragons.
Foradain, Mage of Phoenix Rising.

Thank you both for scouting out these, I'll enjoy reading (:

I think that summed it all up pretty well. The Paragons are designed to be the Avengers/Justice League/Flaming Carrot and the Mystery Men, of Titan City. They are one of many supergroups (Good and evil) we have put together for the game. The other posts upthread have pointed out a few, and our last lore update https://cityoftitans.com/content/where-its-inspirations introduced a few more. As things go forward, we'll talk about more of them but some... well, you'll just have to discover them in game.
Wait until you see the... nope, that would ruin the surprise.
I'm skipping most lore updates because I don't want spoilers and I want to see how the game delivers the lore to me at release, or else I cannot check your ability to sell it to me during play-time, I wouldn't be neutral in my judgement.
There are games where you don't understand what's happening in front of you even if you read ton of text, and games where the story unfolds upon you even if you don't read the text.
City of Heroes was the latter, for example for the Lost/Rikti matter, you didn't need to read a single text to understand these points:
1) "Lost" name + visual costumes = "disappeared peoples becoming monsters for some reason? Experiment victims maybe?"
2) Visual again: Once you meet the Rikti you see similarities = "omg, these are hybrids!!" "Aliens are raping peoples and trasforming them!"
3) Lost bosses = very similar to Rikti = last confirmation the player needs.
All of that without a single text reading, just names+visuals+situations (meet a boss, meet an alien).
You're right about that. The Lost realization was one of the first real 'Holy Carp!' moments that came to you.....and it came to you Organically. You didnt get the payoff reveal until later in the storyline, but just MEETING the rikti for the first time.....you were able to tell...and the horror began to set in.....it was brilliant, really.
On the edge of your Perceptions......
Turn away and feel his hand upon your shoulder.....
Look for him and he shall not exist.....
in the middle of the crowd....lost in the faces....
Stands a Figure....of Gray......
Thanks, I knew I was missing someone important.

Or the Seven Deadly Sins, if you’re feeling more metaphorical and evocative :)

They just got a bed rep. is all. In reality . . .
I actually really like those characters because of what they reminder me of. I know that the game isn't going to get into the Grimdark parts of some superhero fiction, but upon reading about them the first thing I thought of was the Slaughterhouse Nine in Worm.
An infinite number of tries doesn't mean that any one of those tries will succeed. I could flip an infinite number of pennies an infinite number of times and, barring genuine randomness, they will never come up "Waffles".
You really think these guys are on the good side?!
