Some of you may have seen some of us tweeting/Facebook'ing/G+'ing about our nomination for a Shorty Award (courtesy of manvsstairs) - http://shortyawards.com/video/lMK.
From their about page:
"The Shorty Awards honor the best of social media, recognizing the people and organizations producing real-time short form content across Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, YouTube, Instagram, Vine, and the rest of the social Web. More than 2 million tweet-nominations were sent during the 5th Annual Shorty Awards nomination process."
We deeply appreciate all of your continued support for City of Titans and if anyone you would feel so generous as to submit additional nominations on the page linked above, that be fan-freaking-awesome-balls.
Again, thank you all for your continued support of City of Titans!
A pity that my nomination will have to remain strictly unofficial, since I don't have a Twitter account. :P

Thank you all for your support!
I have voted for this.
And if I had the mind to do so, I would set up several "fake" twitter accounts to push the voting up higher. Considering that the top 2 kickstarters had 224 backers and 82 backers and each have 196 votes and 154 votes respectively, I thought that we would have been able to get a far larger engagement ratio towards this.
This is *advertising* the game out to people, spreading the word amongst your social circles.
You also have to remember that there was a kickstarter email sent out about this as well... and right now, its standing at about 2% engagement ratio. And this is costing MWM NOTHING.
We, the players, We the community HAVE to help advertise the game when it goes live.
There is only so much that can be done by a company to spread the word, word of mouth (in real life or in the virtual world) is important as well.
Sure, we might have a marvellous community, but if it stays closed and limited due to lack of "advertising", then it will slowly but surely die.
When (if) the game closes due to a lack of players, don't say "But if we only advertised" or "but only if I did more to spread the word"... at that point in time its too late.
And it was one thing that *sickened* me about the CoX community at large, was the general perception of apathy towards spreading to word around. Sure, I will accept that there are going to be people around who are (for one reason or another) unable to spread the word as helpfully as others...When we (the player base) discovered how little money that Paragon Studios had to advertise the game with, people then chimed up with "Why didn't you tell us, I would have helped out"... when at that point in time, it should have already been happening.
But we are here, in a world where distance is no problem to getting the message out.
This is not aimed at any specific person in particular... You can always set up a "fake" twitter or facebook account if you have to stay connected (I Know someone who actually did a facebook and twitter page for one of his characters... I stay in touch with him via this page, which has no real life information on it), and use it to help spread the word.
^^^This is the reason I now have Twitter ^_^
