Be careful everyone. I was scanning Kickstarter today and saw a second Phoenix Project on it (NOT the Project Phoenix JRPG that recently succeeded) and got EXTREMELY excited. I pulled up the link, started the video.....and got:
A guy talking about Trees.
...............
Redwood trees.........
..........
Nothing wrong with Redwood trees, mind you, but the SHEER cliff fall of my hopes into the realm of anticlimax was a bit.....jarring. heh, needless to say, I wanted to point this out to those who, like me, are a little anxious for this project or even more anxious than I am. :P DON'T DONATE TO THAT SECOND 'PHOENIX PROJECT' UNLESS YOU REEEEEAALLLY LIKE REDWOOD TREES!
XD
On the edge of your Perceptions......
Turn away and feel his hand upon your shoulder.....
Look for him and he shall not exist.....
in the middle of the crowd....lost in the faces....
Stands a Figure....of Gray......
Yes, if you are referring to the Phoenix Project where they are making things out of old redwood, I believe this has already been brought to MWM's attention.
And if I am wrong, I am sure they will let me know ;)

I wonder if that's the reason for the delay...
Perhaps Kickstarter won't allow two of the very same name. :)

KS wants our video and dev bios complete. They haven't said anything about the name.

Speaking of similar kickstarters: I was so excited when I logged to KS this morning and found "Supers" in the new startups. At first, I thought it might be the "secret" name of this project.
Then I discovered that it was a table-top RPG for comic book super heroes. Shucks! But they had a nice pitch and concept, so I backed them anyway. Heh. So this former CoH hero is still helping other heroes out. Seems the right thing to do. *grins*
Looking forward to our own launch!

Why are there suddenly so many projects with the same name? =P
Lookie here, we're trend-setters! =P

Yeah I wouldn't go as far as trend setters, just on kickstarter alone, there seem to be a few rise of the phoenix, a project called the Phoenix project, and not the redwood one, and phoenix this or that that either been funded already and or already came and gone dating as far back as dec 2010. And project phoenix was name of a pentagon program in 2001 time period, and The Phoenix Project is also the name of a non-profit organization based out of Virginia, and the name of a book by Harry Braun and name of a SETI project in 1995
Well shoot! What the heck else comes back from the dead?

Why not "Rise of Grandma Jane" or something hardcore like that? =P
