And, of course, while rescuing the gift giver, their job must be done. Dropping off gifts, or blowing sand into windows, or shooting lovers' arrows.
Alternately, villains might steal the gift giver's priceless magical artifact (gift sack, basket, coin belt, etc) and the heroes need to fetch it back.

I love it! It reminds me of the Baby New Year quests and such from CoH. CoH did holiday events RIGHT, from trick or treating to unwrapping gifts. I have not found a single MMO that gets as into it as CoH did. You could tell the devs had a lot of fun with it!
