Well, the title is fairly self-explanatory.
This is a thread for discussion of any ideas people have for RP's. If you need help polishing an idea or coming up with something from scratch or just a sounding board to bounce concepts off of, this is the place. Heck, if you just want to discuss group RP in general, this thread would probably be a good place to do it.

Firstly, I've been thinking of starting another thread like Downtown or On Patrol. It wouldn't be really structured, just a thread for heroes to gather and face some random threat or threats. It would be a group effort to tell the story as opposed to a singular author moving the narrative forward.
Secondly, Gladatoria has been attempting to prod me into starting another hang-out thread, this one set in Daybreak Ridge. I was thinking of structuring it around some type of community event, like an 'Annual Meet Your Heroes Day' or some such. I'm picturing a carnival-type atmosphere with rides, performers, games, and of course, heroes.
Thoughts? Questions? Complaints? Insults? Lemme hear it.

I'm down for some serial threat throw-down RP. It has a lot of potential especially if the story can and frequently gets derailed with each post. On the flip side, it might be fun to have chapters of semi-structure, each isolated to their event like, Chapter 1 we deal with a giant robot and chapter 2 we're dealing with the underminer with each narrative driven by someone else....
Then again a carnival! Oh geez!! ...TeeKay would be a requirement for me if someone put up a carnival... One of his goofy costumes I had done him up as a ringmaster. I'm certainly willing to lend him to being the main antagonist if that's desirable. Even if he's just some abusive carnie that must be taken down, or an exiiled ex-performer that's holding a grudge... haha Aside from that it'll be fun to see how carnies would react to some of my other characters as well.

1.) Nothing goes as planned.
2.) If it goes as planned it's not good RP
I'd be interested in joining a patrol type rp.. sounds intrigueing. Plus the idea to introduce some of the minor characters , not just the main one or two i use may be a fun idea.
What about an RP thread where the stars are the TCPD SWAT?

Hmm that would be interesting. I remember a Cop based RP in the City of Heroes Forums. The Swat could be just part of it, could have just normal beat cops as well.

Well, I was thinking of doing the SWAT because they'd be the ones most likely to go up against supervillains. I think it''d be interesting to see the unpowered and/or those with lesser powers (Da Chief) having to utilize gear/weapons/tactics to combat said supers. Or, at the very least, to hold them off while civilians were rescued and the superheroes were given time to respond.
Or, instead of SWAT, perhaps a thread about a COPS unit?

I might add that I've got side characters like Detective Wallace(Father of Gold-Fire) We could do a TCPD detective 'show' sort of RP? Could be entertaining. I love the idea of the meet your hero, since I'd like to try interconnecting the Wanderers with other stuff :) They're sort of over in Ironport from what we've RPed, kinda publically based in a clock tower...
I've got a number of large villains who'd be up for world domination and giant monster throw downs, cross overs and combo's galore?! :D
