I am overjoyed to see this labor of love moving to the "next level". I have been quietly following the process since it semi-public inception.
My current question is this:
With the acquisition of this tier are we creating a new weapon (or prop), model and all? Are we cosmetically modifying a pre-existing model? If it is more free-form, what parameters are we confined to (pistol, revolver, rifle, sword, axe, club, staff, spear, net, lasso, bow, Frisbee, sling-shot, stopwatch, lantern, shield, yard gnome, etc.)?
I am very interested in that tier, but I would hate to invest that amount of capital for an item that "was going to be included anyway", or in the hopes that I will be able to create something, backed with appropriate animations, only to...you know...not.
Thank you very much!

Hello Doc Nova! :)
We have discussed this at length before offering this and I fought very hard to insure that if anyone decided to invest enough for this pledge level that we would have an artist work with them to help them build the weapon(s) of their dreams within reason from scratch. You provide your ideas for you concept, give us feedback along the process of turning your dreams into reality. Our artists are responsible for making sure the designs will work with our engine. This isn't a simple recolor of an existing weapon this is truly a free form from concept to finish.
As for parameters that you are confined to. We are trying to be super flexible. Things that are just impossible like say a full sized empire state building as a weapon are a bit outside the ream of a possibility. I am not going to say that we wont find some limitations in what we can get the engine to do but we will try our best to insure that your dream weapon becomes reality.

Thank you for the response, Petalstorm!
That answered most of my questions. I suppose the main, remaining one: animations.
Suppose I want a spear, but the animators had not detailed spear animations. There are staff animations. There are sword animations. But there are no spear animations. Am I left with a spear that swings like a staff, or does this investment also come with custom animations (if necessary)?
And I like the idea of an Empire State building-sized weapon! "You thought Mjolnir was big? HA! I'll hit you with freaking real estate!"
@Petalstorm, could the custom weapon be one which could be dual-wielded? You know, like "dual archery"? ;)
Is this just cosmetic, or would the backer be helping to design the powers/effects? And possibly make a very nice, super-powerful weapon that can KILL EVERYTHING!
Sorry, got excited there. ;)
Okay, another weapon/prop-related question. This one goes out to those of us that will get the privilege of having such a thing designed for/by us. In an effort to diversify and potentially help brainstorm, what sorts of weapons or props are people thinking of?

(of course they might already have plans to add this, considering how essential it looks)
