Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Record, Rewind, Play, etc.

Would be magnificent if we had access to some in game tools to record missions.

I'm picturing a tool where we could control the playback, being able to pause, slow motion, slow reverse, change viewpoints, change graphic levels, display options, resolutions... the works!

Basically a full set of tools to empower the creative among us to show off our game.

Easy access to video creation would help spread the word via youtube, spruce up player written guides with actual demos, provide tools to help people splice together coherent story telling clips.

Since the devs have said that

Since the devs have said that the game is very much based on letting you tell your own story and free marketing is always good, this is a good idea if it's not prohibitively difficult to do.

I guess the one problem would be people doing objectionable things with it...

FIGHT EVIL! (or go cause trouble so the Heroes have something to do.)

That is a posibility. I wasn't thinking in terms of mannequins though, strictly 'actual gameplay footage', which would hopefully mean that the tools arent providing any path to objectionable material that wouldnt already exist. (Video capture programs can already replay anything on your screen, I'm thinking it might be neat to revisit your encounter from say one of the villains eyes)

Aren't there a number of

Aren't there a number of existing programs for recording game-play? I'm not sure it would be worthwhile to do the programming needed to embed that function into the game itself.

On the other hand, we did have Demorecord, before... I'm not sure if that would be effective for recording actual game-play.

Be Well!

With the way Cell Phones are

With the way Cell Phones are now, just set your Cell Phone to Record your game play, and then upload it to your computer and use some kind of editing software to allow you to do all kinds of fun, cool things to it.

I got chills! They're multiplyin'. And I'm losin' control. Cuz the power, I'm supplyin'. Why it's ELECTRIFYIN'!!

I seem to recall something

I seem to recall something about Unreal 4 having a built-in recorder. Not sure if it is developer-only or player-usable, though

I am fairly certain that it is mainly for pure playback of what you record. I am fairly certain that tools can be/will be developed which will allow you to change your viewpoint.

The thing is, it might not necessarily be as easy as you think it would be to edit those.

At a push, you can always resort to recording it in the demo, playing it back and then recording it via OBS/Xplit/FRAPS.

4) I have seen more intelligence from an NPC AI in TR beta, than from most MMO players.

The way you describe certain features, like changing viewpoints, seems to imply that you're looking for something like CoX's demo recordings. Such recordings were captured as text which you could manipulate to substitute character models, change camera angles, change animations, etc. With some skill, you could customize your recordings to create your own machinima.

It would be great if CoT had a similar feature. Some folks above suggest that something like this might be inherently available via Unreal Engine 4. I can't speak to that; my expertise is web development.

It would be ideal if a dev could jump in here and deliver a verdict on the matter.

Nice find, Izzy! Demo

Nice find, Izzy! Demo recording looks to be a very recent update to UE4. I think that should pretty much confirm it for CoT. The only catch is if the devs would need to add some sort of hook to expose the feature to the CoT game client, but hopefully that wouldn't be too much to ask.

Would be good for word of mouth to have Lets Plays, In game shows (RedvsBlue http://roosterteeth.com/archive/?sid=rvb&v=more&s=1) or Cops Titan City! (Cops Skyrim https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MxHbO1MHXuI)

So an easy ingame camera will be very helpful.

UE4 has Demo Record? Oh sweet

UE4 has Demo Record? Oh sweet!

If you want a taste of how Demo Recording works, it's actually present in the game Neverwinter. field of view, graphics level, camera angle and position, and insome places even the time of day are all completely adjustable however you like. It's a wonderful little system that sadly doesn't see as much use as it should in that game.

An infinite number of tries doesn't mean that any one of those tries will succeed. I could flip an infinite number of pennies an infinite number of times and, barring genuine randomness, they will never come up "Waffles".
