Dudesoft: Thanks for sharing your artwork! I really enjoyed them all, but the picture of Link as a Wild West sheriff was my favorite and really made me LOL!
The art community in City of Heroes (CoH) was incredibly awe-inspiring with its monumental level of talent, and I was very fortunate that they accepted Amerikatt as their mascot. I hope that City of Titans will also develop an artistic presence on par with CoH!

I was hoping it was you! That forum game was epic! I don't normally do art requests (I have four novels I have to finish the final edits by the end of the year), but when Beta gets going and you come up with your main character, I'll draw it for you.

I've been away from actual 'art' for so long doing mostly stick figures and sending them over to art teams that I started forcing myself to do 1-2 things a week. Most of my stuff isn't comics related, but I've been tossing in some.
It's a real challenge as I'm not by nature skilled as an artist. Design yes, art ... not so much. (Don't go there... the argument between "art" and "design" is not one you will win with me. Design is a skill many artists do not have but feel qualified to tell you all about, and Art is a skill very few designers have but will inflict upon you whether you ask them to or not. It's like the poetry of a high school English teacher. It's technically poetry, but you can't for the life of you figure out why and you suspect a portion of your soul devoted to the appreciation of art mewls like a beaten kitten and dies a little whenever you read it..)

My actual 'skill' in design is more in creating UI for web and software, which is often more typography and image editing than 'art', as it's more to work with how best to make a UI element appear. Most 'design' is around why you'd need the button in the first place than the appearance, so - art's not really a big part of my end. But occasionally I'll cry, make a pouty face and someone will let me come up with something... here's one I did a while back.

Loving SteamTank's sculptures. Always impressed with things people make look so polished that if I even thought about attempting would look like a lump of clay thrown into a coffee grinder and flung against a wall... :D
Tiger... UX/UI Design is easy. We just tell people its difficult so no one realizes we actually just turn a 9 year old with a full bladder and a sugar high loose with a mouse and some buttons. Whatever he clicks on first before running to the bathroom - we know is important. If he doesn't go to the bathroom - we package it as the next big game and call it a day. (This is how Saints Row IV was made.)

Well I hate to say it, but the UI is an underrated part of the game. I can't tell you when it's right, but I can tell you when it's wrong. I tried to help out Champions with their UI during Beta along with some other players. They decided to bring in someone to clean it up just before release.
UI is very important to me.. then again I grew up with such awesome UI designers such as T.King that had redone (UI modifications) for everquest's very bland and boring UI into something fantastically awesome to look at. You have to remember how long ago these were done. These mods are still amazing at today's standards and would love to find an artist that could do the same for us to give us some more UI customization options.
