Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Public Transportation Proposal

In Lord of the Rings online, pretty much your only "public" transportation option is via horse (men/elf) or pony (dwarf/hobbit) (or goat in the mines of moria) from stables located around Middle Earth (a transportation hub).

Most of the locations offered "swift travel" where you could chose to either take normal travel from point A to point B and watch the world go by, or take "swift travel" and start the journey, fade out and then fade back in at the end of the journey.

Also, most character's best option for private transportation is also a private horse/pony/goat mount. The public transportation steeds are fairly generic, while the private steeds are very diverse. Also, if you interrupt a public transportation steed you're immediately dismounted.

What I always thought would be cool would be if they had added the ability to go to the stable while mounted on your own steed and chose the travel path, then you'd just turn and auto-ride the path on your own mount.

So, what I'm getting at, is I think it would be cool if there were Travel Hubs where you arrive with your travel power on, click on them like the tram or stable, choose your destination, and your character just zooms/jump/teleports/races off on the predetermined path under their own travel power. (of course, if you forget to turn on your travel power, you'll just start jogging ^_^)

TLDR: How about using pre-determined travel paths to auto-travel between zones using our own travel powers?

EDIT: If you're currently on a transportation auto-path, you shouldn't generate threat (of course, if you stop for any reason before reaching your destination, all bets are off!)

This is really how it should

This is really how it should be, there is no need for trams, tracks, or ponies. Just go to this transit hub, select your destination, you either A. fly off and screen switch to you getting there, or B. you can watch your character fly there in Auto-Pilot at normal or quick mode xD

Ah but there is a reason 1) a homage to our previous home and 2) I believe we got a nod for COX in "Thor: The Dark World".

No spoilers.

Thor winds up on a London Tube platform, a train arrives. When the doors open Thor asks a business woman
"How do I get to Greenwich?" She replies "This train, three stops." Thor gets on the train.

No I am not going to tell you any more if you want to know how and why watch the movie.

I took a few minutes to think

I took a few minutes to think about this. Atlas Hurricane required many heroes to band together, and I just can't imagine a hero on the way to save the day traveling in a tram/train. In fact, the tram would probably have been disabled. If that was the main method of zone transportation at the time, I'm sure they would have worked on faster ways to get around. There probably would have been innovation and invention in travel that, over the years, may have even become available on a mass scale to regular citizens.

So what kinds of travel solutions may have been invented? It'd likely be something fast and reliable.

Some ideas, just to throw them out there. They may be cliché, but we could do whatever we wanted with the idea.
- Teleportation platforms. Star Trek, Stargate, The Prestige (minus duplicate self) for example.
- Tubes: Suction, moving platform, or electromagntic. Futurama for example
- Travel Hubs like what Ebon suggested

That is an AWESOME thing if its real ^_^ (I'll find out Friday)

EDIT 131108: Have confirmed scene, can't wait to see it tonight (tickets in hand)!

I actually have no problem with having public transportation in the game, I just think it would be cool to be able to do pathed transportation using your own powers.

It's real.
For me watching the map scroll past me is nice the first couple of times but I get real sick of it if I have to put up with it every time. I started out in CoV so I got used to the ferry tp and when I moved to CoH I found waiting for the train to make it's way to the platform very tedious. Yes I spent a lot of mony on the mission tp's :).

And then there are those

And then there are those heroes who want to use public transportation from time to time, if only to be more visible to the public or play up their "I'm one of you" credentials. As I said in another thread, there will be times when I want to take the tram or ferry precisely because I want to relax and take in the sights. Besides, it'd be rather silly to have public transportation present in the game but lock players out of using them.
