Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Power Mechanics

I don't think I've seen this somewhere, or heard the Devs talk about it.
What about Power Mechanics?!

I really am just talking about how do you activate a power?
I'm not really fond of the 'Classic' MMO mechanics where you just hit 1.. 2.. 3.. (possibly in that order) and have a general cooldown.
Although that CoX DID amuse me, I know it wasn't really THAT diffrent, but it was. Every power had it's own cooldown. And lets be honest now, the little smooth circles with the simple icons on it where rather charming. Still, it might just be the nostalgic feeling talking.
How about something like DC Universe, where you also had powers on your mousebuttons, which added a bit of a shooter feeling. Even so, I'm not really sure I liked that, definitely when you had to make combo's like that.

I'm just really curious because this is a big part of me liking the game or not.

If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought.

Hi Gor Coron, we are aiming

Hi Gor Coron, we are aiming for powers (and game play in general) to be similar to CoH. Powers will have their own individual cool down, click to activate will be the common power activation. There will be some differences in power activation, generally some powers may be charged, or channelled; charged - press-and-hold for a given period of time to activate power, channelled - press (power activates) continue to hold to increase power effect. We have a more charged than channelled, and channelling may not ever make it if it intereferes too much with movement.

We have some other game play mechanics we hope to implement, but I can't be too forthcoming on those at this time. Though I'm sure those will arrive with an update at sometime in the future. Probably after we our game engine prototype of said mechanics actually running to make sure they work as expected well enough to talk about them.

What about the 'placed' power

What about the 'placed' power mechanic akin to the storm/rain powers?
How about mechanics that were wished for in CoH but weren't feasible like Shield Charge being a bull rush type activation instead of the placed power mechanic? I'm sure there are other examples but I'm tired at the moment. . .

Oh we will have targeted

Oh we will have targeted location effects and lunge attacks. A 'bull rush' like attack would be a long- narrow cone (area of effect), with an animation that played out on each affected target.

Cool!

Cool!

And I'm guessing when you say lunge attack, it's a variation of a bull rush that takes you from your original location and moved toward the target of the attack until an obstacle/target is hit or maximum range is achieved?

I just love attacks that 'move' me XD

OMG! You just don't know!! When I played my Martial Arts/Shield scrapper, I'd always imagine in my head how powerful his moves would be. Jump Kick would knock a foe upward and he'd flip away only to do a flying Crane Kick that'd just KNOCK! the #%*#@% into a wall and then followed up by lunging at the enemy with a Shield Charge! KAKOOOM! Through the wall! and teleport to the next enemy, right above their head with a Eagle's Claw! KRACK! backflip, land crouched and sweep em with a Dragon's Tail.

So kinetic! MMmm!

You gotta make that happen, guys :)

I've been playing a goodly

I've been playing a goodly amount of Elder Scrolls Online since it launched in April and ... yeah. The devs kind of went in an opposite direction with that game and its mechanics. For one thing ... an objective was No Cooldowns. Result? One Button Spam. Players find the "best" option and just spam that one option endlessly, because it's "best" and they only need to invest/focus on that one thing.

So in that respect, I'm vastly more appreciative of a game like City of Heroes in which you have animation times and cooldown times that result in attack chains, rather than One Button Spam.

What about toggles? I loved

What about toggles? I loved CoH playstyle, but probably my least favorite powertype was togggles.

I always went with autopowers when possible without gimping my character. Still, my tanks would end up with ROWS clogged with these things just sitting there a spinnin and draining End, not to be clicked again till I died and had to spend time clicking away just to crank them up again.

Yet... not sure what I'd replace them with, so...

FIGHT EVIL! (or go cause trouble so the Heroes have something to do.)
