Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Post Opening Holliday Events

I remember one Christmas season, I farmed Candy Canes and sold them for a Million credits at the player store. I had a blast. The other seasonal events were played once, and then I didn't play them again.

I enjoyed the trick or treating, but the eternal night was annoying.

I'm looking for Holiday suggestions that won't be too expensive but will be fun...and replayable!

Valentines day: Players receive a bonus power, they can shoot hearts from their chest and buff another player...say once an hour. the villains can shoot little cherubs out of the sky

Dr Tyche falls in love. The villains are hired to kidnap a newswoman the good doctor is smitten with. NPC heroes show up to stop you. The News woman falls in love with a PC villain.
the villain now has a choice, stick with the news babe and get periodic buffs for a month...and Tyche as a nemesis for the same time, or deliver her for the agreed reward.

Bah Humbug: The ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future show up to beat the snot out of the villains. The ghost of old Bob Marley is there, wrapped in chains to warn villains against their evil ways and get blown away by them.

The Night the Grouch stole Christmas. A green fury guy shows up every year to kidnap Santa. He will have a different map and different minions each year. He will even sing an evil song. (I know there will be no voice overs, but just put "To the tune of..." and print some funny lyrics.
*** You will also rescue Rudolf and a dentist elf...The Grouch will have a Giant white furry minion to act as muscle

Halloween. Zombies are boring/over done. Martians attacking fit with an orson wells theme.
I like undead Nazi Skeletons! They have undead fleshy tanks, and flying undead planes to attack the city. (and they all drop candy)

also a lot of NPCs areound the city could be replaced by the Mexican skeleton people. They wear nice clothes, have eyeballs, and talk normally. Skeleton Mariachi bands show up in various places. Some gangs go skeletal too!

Toss in a few ideas. What could COT whip up for a fun Holiday event?

Pirate Day.

Pirate Day.

All ashore that are going ashore ...

Instead of zombies bursting up out of the ground and shaking off the (grave) dirt ... you've got pirate skeletons landing on the beaches and invading their way inland. They can either rise up out of the murky depths and wade ashore, or if the art department is feeling REALLY ambitious, they could row ashore and get out of launches and skiffs to wade ashore.

Remember, we're talking New England not that far off from Cape Cod and this area both was (and presumably still is) a pretty decent region for shipping. There's all kinds of Age Of Sail salty ghost stories of lost ships and lost crews and wild nor'easter winds and so on that could provide backstory for an entire collection of Events.

Forget the Ghost Ship Moraine, which was just a big tanker style cargo ship.

Go for an old sailing ship, with tattered sails and a(n un)dead crew ...

Because the game is set in

Because the game is set in new england the sky is the proverbial limit when it comes to a cast of holiday characters.

autimn
halloween
- mischief night (the night before halloween) the gangs of TC run wild
- the headless horseman returns, this time to TC because someone nefarious person has found his skull and intends to wield the power of the horseman to exact revenge, gain power, etc
- poltergeists take over certain buildings, understood to be constructed on ancient burial grounds, these supernatural entities aren't pleased with the current tenants.
- witches return to take vengeance upon those who wronged them during the salem trials

thanksgiving
- puritan preachers return to condemn the licentiousness of their former colony. wielding their righteous fury to smite villains (or heroes, or citizens)
- native american shamans return to reclaim their lands from the invaders, or help heroes heal the land, etc. this one could prove tricky from a PC perspective these days.

midwinter or some random holiday
- viking war bands row ashore to burn and pillage as their ancestors (MIGHT) have done centuries before.

spring
- opening day (of baseball) the gang from 'the warriors' shows up to disrupt things. any group that dresses up like olde tyme baseball players and paint their faces deserve a reference!
- recreation of the battle of lexington and concord goes terribly wrong. either the actual combatants return or some anarchic group tries to seize the day to take back our liberty from the oppression of those who administer TC, etc

summer
- jaws! -or- sharks with frickin laser beams. 'nuff said.

I've mentioned it elsewhere,

I've mentioned it elsewhere, but there needs to be some kind of Independence Day event. After all, Titian City is located in one of the 13 original colonies, and Massachusetts has a fair amount of famous patriots and founding fathers. Obviously fireworks would be involved in some way, but beyond that would be up for debate.

I would like to see little

I would like to see little animations that you cannot interact with...like Santa in his sleigh flying overhead on Christmas eve. Fireworks on the forth of july.
little fairies at night on the summer and winter solstice.

Not something repeated for a week, but something you actually have to be logged in to see, and only on that holiday.

The big problem with that is there will be people de-facto excluded from that event. Just look at the complaints back in the day with the double xp weekends, and that was for more than just one day. On a typical Christmas for me I am out of the house from 8 am till 11 pm. Sure I could still log in but that makes it a pain rather than a cool event; and how many others are going to have no convenient way to log in on those days? Maybe we don't need a solid month or even two weeks of an event but you are still going to want at least a full week to account for peoples personal and/or work scheduled.

Cyclops, those aren't exactly

Cyclops, those aren't exactly trivial "asks" of the art department ... although the fireworks would probably be the easiest to do at this stage.

I propose two holidays: Atlas

I propose two holidays: Atlas Day and Titan Day. Atlas Day would be a somber memorial for the 33 heroes who lost their lives when Hurricane Atlas struck the city in 1998. Titan Day would be in remembrance of Oswald "Titan" Lawrence's inspiring call to rebuild the city in the wake of the devastating fire of 1908.

For both holidays, it would be nice to have a commemorative event in Phoenix Plaza in honor of these historic moments. A vigil of 33 torch-bearing heroes for Atlas Day would be appropriate, and the mayor of Titan City would deliver a grand speech on Titan Day. I wouldn't call them "fun" holiday events, but they would be significant and meaningful.

I can't really think of a fitting way for players to participate though. Press F to pay respects? :P

OK, I'll give you that.

How about a giant turkey attacking the city on Thanksgiving...or the Macys parade balloons coming to unholy life?
