I will try not be confusing about this but since it is confusing enough for me, I apologise before hand for any misunderstanding, confusion that may happen.
This is my understanding that certain pledge levels (5$ or more, 10$ or more etc) gets certain perks listed and any perks listed in lower pledge levels. Also perks has same names as pledge levels. (Armchair hero, construction crew etc)
My confusion comes from something that is listed under perks but not under pledge levels (perks are at the left hand of home page and just before add-ons while pledge levels are on right side menu)
Some perks (starting from all your bases) listed some add-ons as free in their dewcriptions but it is not menitoned in pledge levels so I just want to be clear about this.
Lets take as an example off a fashionista according to both pledge level and perks description it gets all previous pledge levels perks does this includes add-ons listed under those perks?
So does a fashionista gets
t-shirt, lanyard, mousepad, phoenix pet (up until now are listed under all your base perk);
instant sidekick (listed under I know a guy perk);
Iconic, everything is better plaid, it must be a sign! (listed under fashionista perk) ?
No, you don't get any "Add-Ons" included with a pledge level. Each add-on is something you must give extra for and no add-on includes any other add on.
Example: $125 Dynamic Duo Pledge level gets all the "Perks" from that level down.
If you also want the Mogul add-on you add $500 for a total contribution of $625
Want to add the t-shirt, add another $25 for a total contribution of $650
etc.
Increasing your contribution with add-ons does not get you the addition of the Perks you would get of the equivalent $ pledge lever
Incorrect, they've already confirmed that the add ons that are listed on the left areincluded
Actually what Hube2 says isn't correct. Certain pledge levels DO come with built in add-ons.
MWM answered this in the Kickstarter comments (which by now have gotten buried), but here's the response slightly paraphrased:
The version on the Home page of the Kickstarter is correct. Any add-ons listed in that perk text are included, in the quantity specified. The perk text was updated on the Home page, but could not be edited in the pledge tiers because Kickstarter doesn't allow pledge tiers to be altered after someone has pledged to that tier.
Hope this helps!

The list of perks/pledge levels that have a picture with them near the bottom of the page has text the sidebar doesn't.
Some of those perks with the extra text has text that says that that level includes stuff with is also listed separately as an add-on.
You do indeed get those extras even though the sidebar doesn't mention it.

Sorry, seems I was the one completely lost :P
Don't feel too bad. I think they only added getting specific add-ons with certain pledges a few days AFTER the Kickstarter started.

I would like to know how I can add an Add-On to what I have already pledged.
The level I pledged does not give the particular Add-On I would like and I was wanting to know how I go about paying for that specific Add-On.
If I add the proper amount to what I have already pledged, does that go into the overall pot of money? I do understand that it does not increase my actual "level" - which does not concern me in the least - :).
Please let me know what I need to do.
I have two more questions regarding Add-On's:
1. Are Add-On's going to be available until game is released, or will they be removed once KickStarter ends?
2. I understand that any Pledged money is non-refundable, but is Add-On money refundable?
I am very excited about this whole project and everything you all have shown us. With this being the tip of the iceberg, I am very impressed with the direction you are heading.
Now we just have to wait...
Thanks!
To get an add-on, increase your pledge by the amount of that add-on or the total of all add-ons.
When the KS is over, you'll get an email survey where you can indicate the add-ons you're claiming.
Add-on rewards may or may not be available after KS ends. Certainly, there will be other fundraising efforts and these or other add-ons may be included, except for any which specifically refer back to KS itself. It is *possible* they may appear in the in-game cash store or be an in-game reward, but no guarantees. The physical swag may show up in online shops or live events.
All KS pledges are not refundable including add-ons.

No one answered this question, I am wondering about this as well...

What happened to no more KS exclusive material? I thought the exact same T-shirts would be available after the Kickstarter but...
"The first is a Kickstarter colored logo shirt. This will only ever be available to backers."

Well at least if you really, really wanted to you could get a custom real-world T-shirt made that would look identical to an "exclusive" T-shirt. It's obviously a lot harder to "copy" an exclusive in-game item.
I'd have to agree that I'm not really a fan of "exclusive" Kickstarter content and I absolutely hate anything that ends up being permanently exclusive. I ultimately don't mind things like the Registered Lethal Weapon items because those things are only going to be exclusive for a set period of time.
I realize that groups like MWM are under presure to offer perks/rewards for their Kickstarters and it often seems easy enough to toss out "one-time only" items to encourage people to jump on the bandwagon. Unfortunately most of the time things like that only end up pissing more people off in the long run.

To be fair, why should a non-kickstarter person have the ability to get the kick-starter shirt? Wearing that shirt is a statement that the wearer gave to the KS. Now I know someone is going to say "I gave but i didn't have the money at the time," which is unfortunate but, eh, that's life.

I'd simply respond with, "Why does it have to be a 'special' type of shirt that'll only be available during the Kickstarter?" Why couldn't the person who donated to the Kickstarter get a type of shirt that will ALSO be generally available later on after the game launches?
I suppose I find that I'm not usually vain enough to need things that are permanently exclusive to one-time events like this. I know that I donated to the Kickstarter so I don't need an item that makes an elitist "statement" that I'm somehow better than someone else because I did something at a certain time that they didn't. If I get a "Kickstarter" T-shirt now and someone else gets the same exact T-shirt sometime in the future for some other reason it wouldn't diminish my self-worth in the least. My sense of entitlement simply doesn't spill into things like this.

I wasn't really expecting any responses but ok, I'll bite:
1) I emailed a couple weeks back on this subject and this is the response I received: "The plan is for the t-shirts to be available post-KS. We figure that we've had enough KS-exclusive material as it is."
2)Let me throw a question back at you. Where have you been the past couple months when this subject came up? See http://cityoftitans.com/forum/kickstarter-parameters and this quote "Many on the development team feel the same way you do, Perdition, and we've strategized ways to make our KS supporters feel appreciated without alienating all our completionists in the game later on."
3) Do you have a thread advocating more exclusives then? One where there are no time limits either? Were these threads successfully received? Provide a link.
4) What Lothic said.

It was requested by such a large number of backers that we took it into consideration. The other 3 shirts will at some point be available again in the future. The first one is just a color change from the black and white we had originally decided to do to kickstarter green instead. It's not meant to slight anyone it was actually a request that we got flooded with that we decided to go ahead and try to make everyone happy. We are trying to be flexible with you guys and make as many of you happy as we can. The City of Titans in kickstarter green will go back to it's original black and white image once kickstarter is done. Honestly a group you guys want it one way and another group want it another. We are trying to compromise here and find a happy middle ground and make everyone happy because we love all of you for supporting us! :) So please bear with us and try to understand that sometimes we need to adjust our way of thinking when fans come to us and make a valid point and a not so unreasonable request.
