Inspired by the Suicide Squad and the Thunderbolts, I was wanting to see if anyone was interested in this idea.
Here's the gist:
Mavericks are a government-sanctioned black ops team of former supervillains who trying to make good, go "legit" so to speak. Thing is, it's not always easy to transition from villain to hero, for one reason or another. This gives them the chance to do that. In exchange for their services, they'll have their records cleared and be allowed a second chance at life. Sometimes, there are things that normal heroes can't do, or won't do, so it takes someone operating under the banner of "villain" to make it happen. In fact, that's how they got their name, as Mavericks they're inherently unorthodox. Of course, some people aren't necessarily trying to be legit, but they can still make good money...
What do you guys think? Let's share our villain ideas for this where we share members with shady pasts that have the potential to do good. I'll post something a little later.
Are you going to be making an IC thread for street soldiers soon?
not my video just one I lke ===> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6-SdIN0hsM

No offense Hybrid, but are you going to actually get involved with the discussions your threads generate? So far you've started three. The Teen Heroes, Street Soldiers, and now this one.
You're kind of hopping from one concept to another without proper management or interest despite you being the original poster of these threads. I'm not trying to come off as aggressive or rude, but this is just something I've taken notice of over the course of several weeks.
"If I am to die in battle, Remember me for who I was and not what I've become..."
Yeah, sorry I've been busy lately but I do plan to get involved with all of these more soon.
If this idea takes off, it might be a good place for Fiddleback, the Iron Spider/Blue Beetle II character I described in the Teen OOC thread.

I could play maybe Sherwood, my British mystical archer Robin Hood inspired toon and vigilante/anti hero though he’d be more to clear off grand larceny and jewelry heists so he isn’t a true ‘villain’
Alternatively I could play Desire, my pheromone using assassin I talked about the in the teen OOC thread as well

I have numerous characters that can work here.
"Let the past die. Kill it if you have to."
2 different character concepts I have in mind.
One is named Kaizo (the name should make the power pretty obvious) and the other I want to make an glass manipulator.
Not really, no. Reorganize? Restructure? Hack? Just based on the Japanese meaning, I could see several possibilities
Foradain, Mage of Phoenix Rising.

Exactly this. This is where I got the idea from that an bad luck power were everything tries to kill you might be interesting to try to write.
My idea based off that is to make an tragic villain that has an power they cannot turn off where objects, animals, and people indirectly surrounding them will try to kill them in some way. They ''respawn'' everytime they are killed but they feel the pain of it everytime which effects their mental health quite a lot. A couple of civvies accidentally gets killed by their power which got them accidentally classified as a villain (until they discovered exactly what the power does) and tossed into an containment chamber in an asylum that is either intended for metas or houses metahumans with bad powers that they can't control.
An Amanda Wallers expy gets the idea to direct this character's power at the nasty villains and it snowballs from there. Not sure if its an good idea. My other idea is somewhat similar backstory wise only with glass. Some person under severe stress gets an power to control glass and accidentally kills civillains because they don't realize they even had the power until it was too late.
Their whole reason for joining the redemption squad would be freedom and clearing up their name pretty much.
Desiree or Desire’s stack in this would be the actual appeal of time being shaved off her sentence, as one of her worst fears is a lack of having control over a siatuation, prison is a nightmare for her, one she intends to bypass by any means nessecary.
She would also be a wildcard in the group, by no means a patriot but enjoying being able to use her powers in more creative ways, and may possible be scheming a way to be free of the team and her record.

Anyone still interested in this? I have some ideas I could use, and I'm in the process of working on the field leader. Let me know if you want this to launch.
Here's an idea I have for the squad leader. His skill set is based off of Taskmaster.
Cronos
A mercenary who's armed with whatever weapon or gadget he needs, and his sole power is his Psychometric Reflexes. Basically, if he sees someone perform a move, he can replicate it perfectly every time, no matter how complex the move is. It enables him to forge documents, play difficult pieces of music, hack into systems via entering the password, and basically learn any talent he needs. More commonly, he uses it for combat-related purposes, such as mastering numerous styles of martial arts by watching other people perform them, and his ability to analyze everything in detail gives him a form of clairvoyance by reading body language. He can also tell when people are lying, by reading their most subtle movements. Additionally, he can "auto-task" by having his body perform functions independently of his mind (such as getting through a computer or fighting someone) freeing his thought process to focus on something else. It goes so far as to have the ability to mimic the voices of others, by adjusting his vocal chords to match the intended replica.
Other than that, as mentioned he packs many weapons and gets. He has a web-like grappling hook on his wrist, a retractable knife, a pistol, nano bombs, a katana, and a crossbow at hand a lot of the time. He can also switch out his weapons when needed. He's a master tactician, leader, agent, and master of disguise. He's in perfect sync with his body, and never does he stumble, fall out of alignment, sway, has flawless aim, enhanced motor skills, and balance to the point that unless forced by a factor greater than his own he won't fall or teter one way.
It should be noted this is not power copying, as he can only mimic things he could logically do.
As for his role in the Mavericks? He's had a storied history of infiltrating rogue organizations and governments to dismantle them, and has carried out many missions with other mercs that have proven successful. They pay him very good money to lead the Mavericks on the field. He's determined to get the job done, and values the mission above anything else. Any failed mission is a blow to his ego, something he won't stand for. Besides that, he's often distant from other, preferring to keep things professional, and no one ever sees him without his blank face-concealing mask.
