Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

One sweet ride!

Any word on vehicles? This was something I felt was woefully underrepresented in City. After all, we still need to take care of our Ghost Rider, Batman, and Wonder Woman inspired supers. For some heroes, how they get around is as iconic as they are. And, hey, G. I. Joe built an entire franchise around cool vehicles.

If Brute Force doesn't work, you aren't using enough of it!

As long as it was set as a type of travel power that would be great, but to make it available to anyone would not look good, you had 20+ "Bat Cars" waiting for a Subway car.

I think it could be

I think it could be interesting, but there'd be a lot of little things to work out. The big one would be setting 'no vehicle' zones or doing something to avoid the horrible vehicle clumping around trainers and other chokepoints. I definitely would give a +1 to making them travel powers instead of some sort of temporary power, especially if they go forward with the plan to have a designated 'travel power' slot.

The world is a mess and I just ... need to rule it.

Vehicles can potentially

Vehicles can potentially bring up a number of problems depending on how they are implemented. For instance - they could be a re-skin of a travel powers - but you don't necessarily want to allow players to bust out the "Bat Jet/Car/Boat" inside an office building mission. I suppose they could be like a fast-travel system with some limited ability to act as a travel power in exterior zones?

Also - for something like this you would want to allow players to be able to design their own vehicle just as you would their costume or base to allow for some individuality. Seeing a few dozen of the exact same vehicle whiz by would be be kinda boring.

So in short - I wouldn't hold your breath on seeing this at launch - it's probably better to do something like this correctly down the road than cobbled together and thrown in for the hell of it.

A travel power is the only

A travel power is the only viable way I see this could be done without it looking like the mail boxes in WoW. Personally I hope the travel powers are limited to non-instanced areas.

Assuming they are planning on using tiered levels of powers, I like to see a high level of your travel powers include zone changing, instead of always having to goto the nearest subway.

I'm sure the zone-changing

I'm sure the zone-changing issues were likely linked to the structure of City's original programming. I would think that would be something they could handle fairly easily now. I personally see vehicles as more of a quick-travel ability to get to your mission location, rather than a standard travel power. Example, you get a mission from NPC A, this mission requires you to travel to Area B of Zone X, instead of having to navigate across half the city, you activate your Auto-pilot, your vehicle zooms in, picks you up, and whisks you away to adventure! What do you all think? Sound good? Admittedly, I would personally say something like this would be tied to your personal reputation, or wealth, as maintaining a vehicle would not be cheap, and it would take lots of cash or favors to keep such a convenience around.

If Brute Force doesn't work, you aren't using enough of it!

Sounds interesting idea.

Sounds interesting idea. Although maintenance of vehicle depends. I hope on one hand a person don't have to travel the old way for 45 levels and only get vehicles for the last 5. Maybe mid way would be better like level 25 out of 50.

I'm not sure I like the idea

I'm not sure I like the idea of jumping into a vehicle, and instantly going to the mission site. You should have to still travel there on your own, allows for other actions to happen. I.e. CoX had minions that would attack you en-route to missions.

I'd like to see all travel powers, not just vehicles, start off with a basic speed boost, go into a faster version of itself, & a third tier that allows for zone shifting. The how is more a flavor than anything else, Teleport, Speed, Fly, Drive, Jump, Dig.

No promises, but I personally

No promises, but I personally like the options of both a 'power pick' customizable travel power and several purchasable temp powers.

I have nothing to do with design or implementation, but I can imagine a version that acts as ablative armor + speed buff while in use, but can only be activated in appropriate locations(maybe the same power would be usable anywhere, but have a different 'skin' in certain locations).

There has also been discussion on forums of having a vehicle 'pet' that you can ride inside.

Something that would really

Something that would really kill vehicles for me would be if they were like the taxis in SWTOR or WoW, or if they were togglable with a long cooldown. Both of these would -for me- add a sense of tediousness to the game, as i would always be looking at the cooldown to see when i can next move fast. I like the idea however of hoping in a vehicle, screen fading to black and then jumping out at a mission door or something along those lines. Not ideal but the more restrictions we put on utilities like a fasttravel or missions the less fun i feel it would be. This is assuming that the travel power idea for vehicles is a no goer due to a potential lack of immersion. Something that kind of bugged me about SWTOR was not being able to drive your vehicle (your VERY VERY slow segway on a turtles back slow vehicle) inside some buildings, like.... I'm a sith lord on the dark council, you expect me to obey you?

On that note, i can't really think of a way vehicles could be implemented without breaking one of these: Immersion, flow, patience, freedom, or keeping heroes motivated to use their superspeed and flight. To be honest i'm not sure the implementation of vehicles would be the best idea, feel free to prove me wrong, cause i would love to have one!

I wouldn't mind having

I wouldn't mind having vehicles of some sort.

Heroes, super powered beings that could fly, SJ, run at high speeds, teleport and etc. reduced to taking the subway was a silly idea concept wise, but given the limitations of zoning at the time, understandable.

Hopefully the days that super heroes have to depend on lowly public transit are over. Hell, I don't ride public transportation and I'm not even super powered even in games there were cars on the road meaning that many non-super powered beings also drove. Yet, the all powerful purpled out near incarnate hero have to take the train. Hope they didn't leave their train pass at home.

Frankly, I think it would be

Frankly, I think it would be cool to hop into a cab to get somewhere! Though not if vehicle traffic were as snail-like as CoH.
I wouldn't want it to be instant, but at least faster than running. Those who can fly, leap, super run, or teleport needn't bother.
And it would be in line with civilian identities.

Any idea whether zones will be right next to one another as in CoH? Or is there a possibility of traveling a fair distance?

Vehicles certainly were

Vehicles certainly were discussed on the old forums. Like you guys, it was agreed they should be a travel power, and that they would have to be customizable. Also, that they are basically, and most importantly, an option for Natural origin type heroes. Think about it, CoH had nothing a hero with no superpowers could realistically take. Vehicles would solve that very nicely. I gotta say though, the discussions going on here about implementation are way better than anything we held back there, this is awesome!

Yeah, but those only work for a more gadgety natural origin. If people want to play more street-level natural heroes like The Question or Moon Knight, those wouldn't mesh well. I think a combination of tech skins for flight, an acrobatics/parkour style travel power, maybe vehicles and webslinging/grappling if they can manage it.

Webslinging/grappling is indeed being developed. Doctor Tyche has talked to me about it once or twice. The engine can handle it, it's just a matter of developing a working application of it.

I agree. there might be times a "Powered" hero, even one with a travel power, might need to take a vehicle someplace.

For instance:
BlueJay carefully folded his avian like wings close about his body. He did not relish damaging them in the tight confines of the submarine, but there was no other way for him to reach the deep underwater complex.

From out past conversation

From out past conversation regarding player vehicles we seemed to settle at the very least they would by summoned "powers" with animations showing your character getting in / climbing onto, with free movement within restricted areas / pathways. We wouldn't want to see cityofvehicles where player vehicles are rolling through walk ways in parks, or recreational out door areas. Even flying vehicles would have "restricted air space". If we have a skill system there is a possibility to have skills tie into vehicle operation in some way; this could be greater handlling / control, greater speed or skills which enable the use for operating vehicles by type and have nothing to do with "vehicle stats". Other considerations were summons with selected destinations with auto-pathing so the player doesn't have to operate the vehicle. Nothing has been "officially" decided, but we would like, at some point, to make vehicles available.

I will only say that the concept of vehicles and the ability to interact with them (ride in/on them, and so on) is at least built into the Unreal engine.

The first person to take this as a promise of anything will get a very annoyed sheep. But the *general* capability to handle it does exist, which means it is not fundamentally "ruled out" (or at least, "ruled as guaranteed to be high-cost to implement") by the engine itself.

Yeah, if you needed to get across town and ran out in the street to summon your "batmobile", it shows up, you get in, and there's a view of you careening recklessly through the streets to pop out at your destination, fine. I would not, however, like to see these vehicles as secondary weapons platforms to use in battle. Kind of like having a non-combat pet.

My initial thought that it would be cool to have a motorcycle, is trumped by my reading (and agreeing) that it would be lame to see a bunch of batmobiles near a mission point. Even if there are 50 people who can fly in the same area, that is far more digestible than 50 people on vehicles.

I can empathize with the

I can empathize with the sense of a loss of ownership and uniqueness when a whole lot of people around you have the same thing (vehicles, in this case), but that's the reality of MMOs. If someone chooses to have a vehicle as a travel power they'll have to contend with the knowledge that, sooner or later, they'll run into a bunch of other people hanging out on the same or similar type of vehicle.

Vehicles may very well have to be subject to a certain amount of handwavium (Now twice as rare and powerful as unobtanium!) in order to be practical and reduce clutter. Do you want to be the superhero who forgot where he parked?

A while back when we

A while back when we discussed vehicles, we did talk about uniqueness with at the very least a range of skins for types of vehicles though we would certainly like to add more customization besides a skin, and clutter, like 8 super-cars parked outside a mission door. The most probable solution is to have vehicles be a summon, which despawns when you exit the vehicle. There are some other things which could be associated with vehicles. For these reasons and others presented in this thread, player vehicles is something we'll have to take our time with to get right and won't be a focus for release.

What about first making vehicles available as temporary powers? That would provide feedback on them in general and, if nothing else, could get people used to the idea of them spawning and despawning. I can't recall anyone ever complaining about having that huge raptor pack appear on and disappear from someone's back.

Sure, I like the idea of

Sure, I like the idea of vehicles... but the reality of vehicles on an MMO is going to seriously suck. If, for example, cars: If The City has other (civilian) vehicle traffic on the road, then supervehicle traffic is going to be relegated to the speed of the other vehicles. And if cars travel at the same Grandma Moses pace as I see on other games, no one's going to want a car.

Also, while those of us with the Vision aren't going to abuse their vehicles, other people aren't so civic-minded. We're going to see people taking their cars, planes and what-have-you places that they shouldn't. They'll drive cars off the road. They'll take their VTOLs into buildings. Remember, to many people, these are games, not worlds.

Do you really want to see Batman999 driving the Batmobile across the Great Green Park, just because it's easier?

Me, I'd like to see a police presence actually policing the roads. Go cross-country in your supercar, get a ticket: Possibly a means of adding an 'XP Tax' for people who want to break the Vision.

And this is only thinking of cars. All sorts of vehicles exist in the comics that are used by superheroes: planes, helicopters, boats...

No, I'd like to see super-vehicles nipped in the bud for most parts of the city, with alternative skins for travel powers available for "Normal" characters: Jet packs, skates, spring-heeled boots...

Yeah, after it's up and running, I could easily see the streets filled with "batcars", especially if normal traffic is on line with what CoH had, the supercars will far out number the rest! :)

One idea though, was that if you had a vehicle, it acts like the transit system did in CoH; You call for it, it shows up and you get in, then it arrives at your destination and you get out and it takes off.

While I can see some of the problems vehicles might cause, I really, really want a motorcycle for some of my non-powered heroes. Sure, a swingline or a hang glider might work for some concepts, but a super-normal hero zipping along the city streets on a motorcycle is a classic.

I think that vehicle travel powers should be like any other travel power. When the power is not in use, the graphics for the power is not displayed. So when you shut off your motorcycle/car/unicycle travel power, the vehicle disappears.

Also, while I realize it would be more work, I'd much prefer if non-enclosed vehicles like motorcycles showed the actual character on the motorcycle, rather than a generic model.

To me, there is a difference

To me, there is a difference between personal vehicles and something larger. I can see a motorcycle as just a mode of travel. You go about as fast as someone with superspeed, and you have to drive to your destination. Jetpacks, wings, gliders, same basic deal.

Cars on the other hand, and helicopters, and spaceships, are just too big. I'd rather see those work like the Tram in City of: you climb into your cool, customized wheels, zip off, then arrive and step out. Just a big aesthetic difference for me to see a bunch of people on motorcycles, and a bunch of cars (probably clipping each other) crowded around an npc.

The Defiance MMO lets everyone have a vehicle, from a tiny ATV (one of the more useful) to a giant RV. When there is an arkfall mission and everyone comes running, you get a crowd of nearly identical Dodge Challengers, dune buggies and ATVs. But they disappear quickly, because they are only for transportation. Can't attack from inside them, they can't avoid attacks, so everyone bails out of their vehicle to fight. Still breaks my immersion somewhat to have a post-apocalyptic car convention roll over the hill at the same time.

tl;dr version: I think cars and larger vehicles should work like the tram did in City, dropping its owner off at a mission door, or designated zone location. Motorcycles and smaller vehicles could just be animations for a travel power like super speed.

Mention of the Defiance MMO

Mention of the Defiance MMO brings to mind Auto Assault, an MMORPG that, sadly, I never played... it was essentially the old Car Wars game set in a post-apocalyptic future. Battles between factions took place in vehicles, not on foot... or at least I don't know if the scales collided and you had pedestrians trying to defeat people in vehicles. But it occurs to me that there's an idea to be gained here:

Vehicle zones. And vehicle combat zones.

So let's set up an in-game interstate system where people can take their Batcars and run around in what would essentially be a giant oval racetrack. And also a few empty zones for PvP where you get in your Batjet and take on other players or giant monsters.

This would work as an expansion... just make sure you plan for it (leave enough room for the interstate system). It'd give people a reason to use their expensive toys (and, possibly more importantly, to spend resources upgrading them), and a place to show them off. And we can still keep the 'quick interzone transit' concept for regular gameplay.

If we have vehicles I would

If we have vehicles I would suggest that none of them be any bigger than a horse so that there isn't any problems with clipping or trying to drive something like a tank through an office building. Though it could make for some interesting character ideas especially if the devs stick with the idea that they have on the kick starter page of effect and animation being separate and making it so we can use our powers through our vehicles so we can have concepts like a biker on a magic bike that spews fire or an ex stuntman saving the day while riding around on a high tech motorbike filled with guns

Even though they are hover vehicles and, therefore, avoid the limitations of a ground-bound vehicle, CO has shown that vehicles can be done. IIRC, they are limited to use outside of indoor missions.

I think having to buy the

I think having to buy the vehicle slot would work best you have a certain number of travel power slots that you gain at certain levels you buy a token that allows you to substitute your travel power for the vehicle that vehicle simulates a travel power with some sort of buff or add on . A tunneler that gives you a buff to hide from mobs in the area your travel through , a motorcycle that simulates super speed or better speed and gives you a buff to avoid ranged attacks and snares . A flyer that simulates the flying power that gives you a buff to damage resistance while your in it or a transporter that takes you directly to a non instanced mission (handy for when you are defeated and have to get back to the mission). Champions did vehicles and it was somewhat disappointing and either a vanity pet or used for pvp but much of the game supports it so your forced to deal with vehicles whether your into them or not something new would be if you had to have a skill and skill level to make use of the vehicle and maybe a repair kill to fix them or upgrade them from base .

ooh I made it to the end of

ooh I made it to the end of the thread!! :)
So I'm just going to go back into my old thread and drag all those ideas in here with me where they really belong. Then we can talk.

A Cannon, just like in the cartoons where a cannon appears out of no-where and then shoots your character Ba-Boom all the way across the map, all zones. During flight there should be a whistling sound like a bomb being dropped, with a resultant explosion off in the distance of the target zone. This would not be uncontrolled, you would be equipped with a glider and a parachute, and zones would appear in glowing text as you got near them so you could always drop down in your parachute or steer right, left, or keep gliding straight until you got to your destination.

An air balloon, even an airship or blimp, a 'rare' animated method of travel this one would float you up and allow you to slowly float towards your destination, perhaps an exclusive extremely rare drop from a boss. One friend was screaming and crying for a rainbow colored air balloon. Another was demanding porky pig and the green goblin. I was partial to the blue and purple one from FF9 with purple fins that came out of the clockwork dock myself. But also you might consider the 800 balloons tied together as a massive blimp from Disney's "Up" for inspiration,

6 different fantasy airships in this FF9 music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQB623adVV8

Continuing on,

Powers and travel, the power to summon a horse, which could then be augmented with a horn, or wings, and thereby become a flying mount, or later be augmented with fire breathing and become a fire-breathing flying unicorn.

The power to summon a lizard which could be augmented with horns and wings as well to have a horned, winged flying dragon, and then augment it with an ice ability. Change the color of it, size, the style medieval europe vs. chinese, have all sorts of fun.

The power to summon a cloud which could be augmented with light to form a rainbow path upon which to walk or run, the cloud follows behind the hero and moves opposite of where the player turns so if you turn right it would turn left and project the rainbow to the right.

In the game wonderland online (cartoonish manga style) igg.com. I spent 3 months building a steam-ship, very sweet ride let me visit all the islands that were otherwise inaccesible. Later i built a car, a ufo, and a weather balloon. Each one had gasoline which was hard to find/farm and either craft yourself or pay someone else a lot.. I had 8 accounts auto-farming for me full time just so I could play and go on adventures when I had time after work. Luckily the game had built in automatic play mode so this wasn't a big deal.

There's nothing saying a ufo has to be the size of a lost pyramid either. In a game like CoT, I would expect any such vehicle to appear big on the inside, maybe as a portable house? But be small on the outside. Like Dr. Who's police box. Say the size of a hero for believability. BTW, I have always wanted my own house to be a mobile gypsy caravan, same principle of bigger on the inside. In truth it could simply be a place holder object for a personal portal. Although I have a feeling that wouldn't work with game theme.

Another thing I really need to bring up is that unless you are in a mission, a raid, a dungeon, or a PVP zone, I think you should have a 'go home' button available to press at any moment. That could be your car ride and it would instantly take you to the nearest home portal.

Taxis, I love the idea of being able to /whistle taxi and have one drive up to you and then maybe you sit down and get to select which Point of Interest on the map and maybe it charges you a few dollars to go. Like a particular club or Park or Shop. That way newbies could get around to the basic areas without getting lost too much, it's a pain when you don't know where your going, don't have the travel powers to get there and nobody wants to stop to give directions. That's where taxi's would really be handy to have and basically let them move at about a fast run so you can still get orientated in the new areas without getting bored, and you'll be able to power there later on.

This one friend I had on Freedom would roleplay a satanic devil worshipper and he would cast teleport other on people who agreed to sell their soul to him to send them from Sewer zone to Atlas Park. Then he had all of the names of souls he'd stolen listed in his bio. :)

Grappling, my brother and his friend programmed a custom server on UT 2 arena online where they were able to do grappling hooks easily. The hard part was figuring out how to bind the release like when you were half way across and wanted down, and also running into walls so they changed something about the properties of the walls to make it work so you didn't lose your life when you bumped into a wall. Other than that, it was a trick of binding the right keys, and then travel became x to fire and up into the air and then x to release and then you targetted another spot and x to fire again. Targetting was a laser beam pointer. Umm my brother is looking for work as a game designer/programmer and I could probably mention to him, but he needs paid work. Grapple also doubled as a short range weapon, you could just grapple an enemy with your device and splatter. :)

Teleport, would be neat if you could teleport specifically only to water or fire locations, like a limited version of teleport, not sure if it belongs more in powers or travel. Water would be water pools, waterfalls, fountains, streams, rivers, ocean. Fire would be torches, bonfires, campfires, NPC caused fire, burning cars, and so on.

That's all I have for tonight :)

Actually, CO should be considered an example of how NOT to implement vehicles. I'm pretty sure there is no restriction to where they can go, because I've seen them indoors. Rooftops, inside the bank, inside the powerhouse, inside the tailor, inside the AH, inside pretty much everywhere, all clustered together just like we don't want to see them. They also have defense and resistance ratings independent of the character's, carry weapons, and are used to fight. I don't think this is what we want in CoT. They are very much like what you'd want in a game like Auto Assault, but they don't make much sense at all in a game where all the PCs are superheroes who can fly, superjump, etc. Remember, in CO each character is FORCED to take two travel powers at specified levels, so we are not talking about an alternative travel power or travel substitute for characters whose concepts won't justify the given travel powers. Bring in the fact that each one is "only available for a limited time, get it naiow", are more expensive than anything else in the shop, and are the primary excuse for the execrable lockbox system, and... no, just no.

After ghosting this thread awhile, I see no one has mentioned how fast travel and personal vehicles are handled in LOTRO.

Fast travel: Rent a horse from any NPC who offers the service. Horse spawns, you mount, popup menu lets you choose your destination, horse gallops off at high speed, sticking always to roads and paths. If you stop before your chosen destination, horse despawns and your character is deposited right there (you'll have to walk all the way back to town if you're in the middle of nowhere). You cannot interact with anything while mounted, and if you stop to try to do so, the horse immediately despawns as previously stated. If your chosen destination requires crossing into another zone, the ride is abbreviated as you reach the zone portal and poof, you've arrived at your destination.

(There are other fast travel methods that are either consumable temporary powers whose destination is defined by the consumable, or permanent abilities with long cooldowns that can only take you to your owned house or to your character's "racial capital city". I consider these to be more like the Ouroboros Portal, the WW/BM teleport pass, and the Pocket D VIP Pass, and not in the same class as a vehicle power.)

Personal vehicle: You can buy horses, as many different ones as you want (but you can't buy more than one of the same type), and there are many types that look nothing alike (some come with fancier tack, harness and saddle than others for a higher price). You receive a permanent summon power for each horse you own, but only one may be active at a time; using any summon despawns any other horse currently summoned. Use the summon, mount appears, character mounts it. You can sit still on an owned horse, or travel at any speed (generally faster than character's run speed) anywhere in the open world space. Character cannot interact with objects or enter an interior cell or instanced map while mounted; attempting to do any of these things causes the horse to immediately despawn, or the character to zone and arrive unmounted. No cool down, so horse can be immediately resummoned if you made a mistake, but summon powers are grayed out in interior cells and instanced maps. The owned horses cannot fight, and you cannot fight mounted. If attacked for sufficient damage, the horse despawns; if damage is extremely minimal, the horse may remain so that you can try to outrun whatever is attacking you.

So we have a fast travel method that, unlike CoX, lets you see where you're going as you travel it, though it probably lends itself better to a taxi or bus concept than to a tram/train/monorail/subway/airline. And we have personal travel that is faster than running, can go anywhere outdoors only, but can't be used when training, selling, crafting, interacting with NPCs, or fighting.

Just throwing it all out there as a different example. Apologies for the monolith.

The absolute Best part about

The absolute Best part about Horses in LotRO is that whoever programed them actually knew how horses moved and the animations are lovingly crafted. They actually move like real horses, which is not something I've seen in any other game.

This is basically the rail system. I certainly would not object to being able to use buses or taxis in addition to rail (subway, tram, train, monorail, etc., etc.). They could each keep their typical strengths and weaknesses: rail is often faster but has fewer stations, buses reach more areas but are slower, taxis are expensive and may be unavailable.

Responding to Superpersonage,

Responding to Superpersonage,

The problem with your ride disappearing when you dismount is that if you dismounted to help someone, you'd be hoofing it from there on. In the game Rappellz they had timed pets that you could purchase in game or in the game shop. They took up an inventory slot, and you just tapped it to turn it on, tapped it to turn it off. If you went into an arena or raid area it would automatically turn off and fade away.

The problem I had with these mounts, with all mounts and pets is they have a tendency to make it impossible to click on an NPC. I thought it might be helpful to just put a fade boundary around NPC's say 3 walking steps each direction where the mount/pet is auto turned off.

One of the crazy fun things to do in Rappellz before they fixed it was to start moving, turn yourself into a shop vendor for a brief moment and then you could 'ice skate' around town and your legs wouldn't move just as long as you kept moving.. I thought it was one of my favorite features I'd go into the main town and people would run around me demanding how I 'did that'. I think it would be a neat addition for say the park in winter, maybe give us all fancy ice skates for winter city travel? I'm sure people would be demanding to be able to spins and twirls and jumps and all kinds of Olympic ice skating stuff.

Tinkering around in W3 TFT, I think someone told me that they were able to give 'Uther's Party' an ice-skating level by stopping the animation in the legs the moment the peasants entered the ice rink and increased the base speed to give them a smooth gliding motion. In real ice skating a skater can glide for about 50 feet but they do occasionally need to use their legs to speed up, especially for jumps and things like that. Don't forget, real ice skaters can skate backwards too!

In DragonRealms, The Crossing, Town Green with the Gelapod has a pond, in Winter Solstice which starts around Thanksgiving for the game and lasts through to the middle of January, the pond becomes frozen over and an ice-skating vendor appears next to it hawking ear-muffs, blankets, an assortment of lovely ice-skates, hot cocoa with marshmallows, and little wrapped presents, silver stars and golden globes which can be popped open to receive a random decorative clothing item things like colorful knit sweaters, socks, woolen scarfs, and ribbons. Not saying you should copy them exactly or anything, but maybe the central pond could freeze over, or maybe on the edge of the bay or something? I do remember when the CoX ski resort opened but I don't think anyone sold hot cocoa there? You had to complete this really complicated quest to get anything that looked like Christmassy for your character, but the costume that year was very slutty and they didn't even react at all to wind or gravity or movement. I refused to have my character wear it and then they were timed to disappear I think? I know my boyfriend at the time had me bring my computer over and then he made us large cups of hot cocoa while we played together. :) Maybe people might appreciate a christmas tree more that you could purchase wrapped gifts from and hand them out to your favorite friends? or perfectly random strangers? Or ooh, how about you learn how to knit clothing during a winter event and then you can custom make your own costume items in hero builder and give them away to people? Like just apply knitting to things like jackets and then learn patterns like snowflakes and hearts and adjust the size of the snowflakes and hearts on your clothing. This could be too much fun! I wonder would the clothing builder allow for dangly beads?
