So.. I did the vanilla ($75) support one. My first time investing in kickstarter. I played CoX when it was in beta and lost interest shortly afterwards because of the issues with grinding to 14 to get a travel power, the backwards way energy usage worked (I.E. losing your travel power and all passives if you ran out of energy).
Hopefully all of those will be addressed in CoT :) I'm sure it will be awesome.
Oh, and HI!
So Sayeth the Bacon, so Sayeth the Overlord! Or something.. I don't know
Welcome back! For what it's worth CoH went through a huge number of changes over its 8.5 year lifespan including plenty of ways to get travel powers at level 1. I suspect many of the improvements CoH managed to provide will be reflected in CoT.
I'm curious in what way would you want END (a.k.a. energy) to work in this new game? Seems pretty straightforward to me that if you don't manage your energy usage that you would lose passive powers. I realize other games handle that kind of thing differently, but I would be amazed if that was going to change in CoT.

I agree that END was difficult to manage in early levels (although when they made the Fitness power set a part of everyone's build that became less a problem), but while I was happy when they made travel powers available at lvl 4 and added temp travel powers starting at 2, I still enjoyed the challenge of managing my END through game play and power enhancements.
My level 50 Blaster could fly and spam-attack at range for almost 20 minutes without running out of energy or popping an inspiration (Very useful in a team AV fight not to be stuck on the ground, let me tell you!). I was very proud of getting him to that point ^_^
