Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

I like the idea of being able

I like the idea of being able to pick a few such animations, based on my powersets, origin, and whatever and then pick which one will play, or put them on a playlist for random execution. There also might be some animations that are triggered by Location, or amplified by location. Like I could be standing near a bar, activate my /drink animation, and, instead of a generic cup from hammerspace, a bartender could deliver a pint of beer that my character could /drink, while leaning against the bar. Or I could be standing in some proximity to a park-bench and when I activate /sit, I actually sit on the bench, instead of the ground.

Depends on the specific visuals. A mind-control type character with an idle action that picks up a rock telekinetically to float in front of the character, spinning or turning over slowly for a couple seconds, then a flare of power envelops the rock as it is crushed into dust, dribbling away in a trail of powder would be much more likely to be appropriate for the character.

This is exactly what I had in mind because THAT would fit the character. What I meant in my first response, was some type of mind control character picking up a rock and crushing it with their hands (like you would expect from a super strength character).

Can we get a [b]Death Ray?[/b] Not a heat ray, energy ray, or dark miasma ray, but DEATH. Uh, not that it has to kill people outright, of course...just something that's specifically "death" damage type. The term "Death Ray" is so iconic in comics and science fiction!

power sets Meisters Besides the ability to physically grow extra limbs. and use extra limbs for Weapon, Meisters has a number of psychologically-based powers, typically theability to induce memory loss, i.e can't use any abilitys or powers 4 to 6 sec insomnia and insanity in its victims. insanity 5 to 10 sec attack both team and Enemies. insomnia low mana bar hp bar attack and defend. the extent of its power over the mind has seen it creating mindless minions seemingly bent to his will. Meisters physical presence has been shown to induce coughing and sickness, AoE damage it has also been depicted with the ability to warp time and space and teleport.?

Something that just came to

Something that just came to me while reading this thread , what about a power/set (buff/debuff) that increased or decreased the number of powers you can use?
Such as (Debuff) - Reduces the target to use only powers/slots as if they were 3 levels lower (this means they lose anything they have selected in the last 3 levels - assuming we use the same general Power/Slot system as CoH).

Buff - Increases the targets level by 3. They gain increased base stats (ie: HP) along with Power Values (all damage goes up, etc). In addition if the level increase would confer a new power choice it automatically grants them a power from their Primary set. If none are available then it selects from the Secondary set. If none are available from either ??? (hey I said I just thought of this give me a break :)).

So your fighting a boss and you debuff them reducing their level by 5. They lose access to any ability available above their debuffed level (no more alpha for you!) along with HP, etc. Would have a limited duration and cant be stacked (although a more powerful version of the same ability would override the previous so a -3 level debuff would be overridden if a -5 level debuff is applied, etc).

When you buff your teammate with +5 levels they get 1-3 (?) new powers.

So what about bonus slots granted by the power?
Well there are a few things that could happen such as:
- it always defaults to Acc or Dam
- there is a toggle power that the caster selects that improves as you level up (ie: Initial +Acc, Advance1 = +Acc or +Dam, Advance2 = +Acc AND Dam (lower values than Initial and Adv1), etc).

As for the Debuff that removes 'slots'. Well if the bad guys have the same character creator that players do (powers, slots, enh, etc) then it works the same way. If a DAM enh is slotted last and that slot is removed by the power then they lose the +Dam enh. If the bad guys don't use such then each 'slot' lost could be worth a value of a random Enh. SO I debuff for -5 levels meaning they lose 6(?) slots each slot is -10% to a random Type (Acc, Dam, EndRed, Range, etc) and each of those 6 debuffs are randomised meaning the enemy COULD be debuffed for -60% damage, or -30% Acc, 10% Dam, 20% EndRed. Or I could get really unlucky and lose -60% Range...

I have this crazy Idea: What if the power origin also mean something (besides just being able to use certain origin enhancements) ? In example:
Technology Origin:
Options: Robot (immune to mind, poison atacks, Able to detect bombs, traps,night vision, heat vision, weak against electricity or weather powers)
Power suit
Ciborg
Radiation exposure
(each origin would come with advantages and disadvantages...)
Natural Origin
Options: Animal Like origin or shapeshifter (werewolf, vampire, strong vs phisical damage)
Alien (creature from other planet/universe with their own strengths and weaknesses, underwater breathing, heat vision weak vs fire etc...)
Super Human/mutant: A Person who was born with special abilities and has enhanced them through training
Magic Origin:
Options: Sorcerer (immune to power drain, endurance drain, weak vs phisical damage)
Witch
Mage

By this point I think my point should be clear, the thing is It would be a lot more immersive if you had some strengths and weaknesses following your origin and therefore you would make this game a lot more deep, and allowing teamwork to be important.

Lets say, I want to create a Robot, they dont have a mind, why would they be affected by psycic atacks? Or why would they be poisoned, or need to breath underwather? As a robot night vision could be included in their equipment as well as having some natural phisical resistance...

Lets suppose I'm an Alien (you can compare it to superman) You can probably survive without oxigen, or have different senses, an alien from a water planet who is a water breathing creature.... Or an insect like creature/humanoid who has wings and therefore can fly...

This is not intended to bind travel powers or senses to specific origins but to add advantages disadvantages other than just using "origin enhancements" or being tied to a human form...

your thoughts?

And in one occasion, he/she displayed the ability of replicating the appearance of other people?

I'd like to see a wide

I'd like to see a wide variety of weapons but something missing from both of the games I played was a staff set, maybe you could hybridize abilities in a way to have attacks that are a hybrid of javelins and classical staff fighting IE. Donatello and Robin. For variety in this sense you could add skins for the weapons that are bladed staffs, wizard staffs, or high tech staffs as a basic idea.

I also tend to play stealth characters so seeing powers that synergize well with a rogue type character would be lovely, even if it's just small powers from different sets to make a certain thing. Like traps from powers or trick arrows and silent shots from an archery set. This is just my ramblings and it's not all there but just the idea of having different powers from different sets interesting me in general even if it's not for a stealth character. Something that always seemed cool to me is a hybrid of telekinesis and firearms training or fire powers and street fighting.

It'd like to see a disguise power too, that'd be interesting to be dressed as a member of the closest faction or something similar to set up traps, get the drop, or just sneak by. Maybe some cybernetic staple powers like the gun or knife arm attacks and invisibility.

Vet of Champions Online and DCUO, Sadly late to the party that was City of Heroes. Proud thief/rogue.

i would liked to have seen a melee type Chain Powerset in CoH/CoV... and as i recall posted my suggestion in the old Forums describing all the powers and their effects. One of the PBAoE attacks if i recall was called Whirly Bird, where your toon would Swing the chain over their head a couple of times and hit a number of baddies knocking them down.

You can customize what you like to see at the end of the chain... spiky ball, etc... or just more of the chain.
And even go with a different skin, so the chain looks more like a Whip. etc...
And if you like Catwoman's fighting style... you can have an attack called Rope a Dope, where you rope a baddie around the hips and pull him/her forcefully to you and knee them in the groin (or abdomen). ;)

Oh my. Power set options I

Oh my. Power set options I would like to see.

In CoX there were the optional powers like flight, jumping or leadership. Why not a powerset that expands on those.

A full on primary or secondary set based around super speed, or teleport or flight or leadership.

You have heroes and vills who have a travel power but it wasn't the focus of the character. Superman could run fast but the flash was a true speedster.

I mean keep the extra powers like speed or teleport but also give a fullon set based around those powers. Give it attacks, defences controls, the who she-bang.

Some kind of power leaching or mimic set like parasite or amazo.

A gadgets attack set not just control/defence.

Let any style of character have a simple brawling set. They can shoot lasers from the eyes AND kick a guy in the shin.

A martial arts set with options for it to animate with karate or kung fu or savate or even capoerria (spelling might be off....ok spelling IS off)

Most importantly is the value of options in any powerset. Superspeed can be running or rollerskates, flight can be wings a cape or a surfboard. Fire blast can be pyrokinetics or grenades. CoT promises a lot of options which get me excited in regards to the powers, but one can never have to many options.
