Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.
It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.

CoT will be using unique global names with non-unique character names, similar to the system in place on Champions Online.

This means there technically could be 15 "Captain Atom" characters running around, but they'd all be unique based on their player's global name (i.e. Captain Atom @ ABC, Captain Atom @ 123, Captain Atom @ JohnSmith, etc.). In chat you'll be able to choose to see only character names or you could see the entire local @ global names.
Sometimes people argue that this global name system is bad precisely because you could end up seeing a bunch of duplicate names. While that's statistically possible in practice it doesn't really happen. Case in point I played Champs Online for around 6 months and I never really saw any duplicately named characters online at the same time/place. I'm sure other people could tell you they occasionally ran into identical names - it's just not something that ever noticeably happened to me.
Basically the benefits of the global name scheme will far outweigh the potential problems.

Plus it might cost Allot Less to change your Character name, too. ;D
Heck I just be happy not having to see XXSuperdudeXX or WlLD side, basically anything someone did to make sure they have a variation of the name they want.

I agree....that poor excuse for L337 speak used to irk me. Would much rather just see somebody get the name they want....even if it is Wraiven or Solarverse (My two main names I have used since the beginning of CoH). As long as my Global name is not shared, I honestly wouldn't care.

Thanks I guess that's a good way but with so many players on one server I figured they have it the same as COH it was nice having that name secured for yourself but that's cool with me its all in the fun of playing the game
I honestly would not mind either way. I wouldn't complain if I had my own name all to myself. I would only be butt hurt if somebody else got my names before I could, heh.
