Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

My sincere gratitude

Through this forum i would like to express my sincere gratitude for developing a MMOrpg similar to City of Heroes and City if Villains. I have been playing multiple mmorpg's waiting for something like This to come. I do hope my expectations are being matched and i am looking forward to the game. Count me in as a subscriber already. :)

Yours sincerely,

+1. Same.

+1. Same.

For me, as long as the powers animate in a somehow believable fashion (smooth where it needs to be, ramping down of particeFX that are further away.. making room for my own particleFX that might be showing), and the SoundFX sound just about right (ramping down of soundFX that are further away to make way for any of my own that are currently playing), the rest I can forgive*. Well, maybe UI also. ;)

+1 also.

+1 also.

I strongly agree with this spirit of gratitude. This is a crazy thing MWM took on for all of our sake. They didn't have to do it and it is a Herculean task. They, in effect, formed an amateur indie studio committed to putting out a fully AAA title with only a fraction of the normal funding, as a labor of love that we are all going to get to play and benefit from. I think gratitude is the proper attitude towards them. They do the work, we get the new home.

I wish I had been playing multiple MMOs while waiting, but I gave up. This is probably because I never played MMOs, or even video games much, before CoH. I'm an old-school comics fan at heart, and CoH brought that alive as much as the (mostly) great movies that have been coming out. Actually more, because my favorite thing was always making up my own heroes.

Thank you all, MWM. Bring her home for us.

I can't do anything myself

I can't do anything myself but concur with the previous posters.

CoT will bring back something that really miss in all current MMO's that I am playing, properly implemented support and control "classes". My current go-to game for getting my "hero fix" is CO and even though it has, mechanically speaking, a higher degree of customization in regards to ones powers it feels more restricted since it has a lesser amount of options compared to CoH. No proper support builds, no proper control builds, no proper pet builds, hardly any energy based melee builds. Now CoT will fix that by having CoH's breadth of options on the mechanical level while having the "freeform" nature of CO on the visual level.

The only way I can see this being worse than current options is if they intentionally made them so, which I have no doubt in my mind that will NOT do. MWM will bring us the best game they can do.

A huge thanx from me as well.

A huge thanx from me as well. CoX was a game my disabled wife could play with me, and as such brought us closer together and made friends we have to this day. The reason my wife could play CoX (and has not found a game since), was that it was not a "twitch" game. My wife's disability is a closed head injury, and the pace of combat in CoX was perfect for her. As I understand CoT will be similar, and the both of us cannot wait for the game. As are all the friends we made in CoX. We were the Lords of Rage SG on Liberty server and a bunch of us will be movin over to CoT.
So Thank You again for picking up the mantle and doing this for all of us.

Derail warning:

One of the amazing things is how CoH made non-twitch combat so fun and even exciting. I've played plenty of twitch games with my son, and, while exciting, they're also kind of stressing and tiring. I've also played other non-twitch MMO's and found them a bit boring in combat.

But in CoH, I could have just as much fun and excitement--close calls and all--as good twitch combat while relaxing and having fun. I have no idea how they actually pulled that off or what the factors and mechanics are behind it, but boy do I miss it.

I guess all of the movement in combat was part of it. While not twitch, combat was very mobile in CoH--and I don't mean kiting or cricketing, I mean good old fashioned superhero movement. And also there were so many ways to come back from 1 hp that "crap, they almost got me" happened a lot.

Compared to other traditional tab-target MMO's I think a major part of that was the complete lack of any "white damage" or auto-attacks which meant that every attack meant something, even brawl (at least at earlier levels). Add in the mobility you mentioned and we get a higher base level of involvement I guess.

For me, the pace allowed me

For me, the pace allowed me to queue up a power and have a second or two to look around and see what else was going on. I could plan my next attack/target or type a quick Superhero Quip™ or complement a teammate on a cool move. Being able to keep an eye on things made playing a support toon easier at times, too.
Sure there were a few times I had to be extra-focused but those were rare.

Yeah, I know what you mean,

Yeah, I know what you mean, Rigel. I've commented before that the combat was more like deciding what your hero/villain was going to do and watching it play out instead of controling his/her every little movement.

You got to sit back and watch your creation in awesome action! It was fun and exciting AND rellaxing. Really miss it.

This exactly!

I would allow even more queueing (I even wondered if CoH wasn't afraid of power queueing patents). The only thing that might be needed was a key to cancel all pending queued clicks, and I'm none too sure that would even be used.

This is the exact opposite of the "action MMO" evolution with so many immediate-response demands, growing game after game after game.
Oh oh, in the red zone! Oh oh, microhold on you, bash keys to break free! Oh oh, he's winding up a big attack, hit kick key to maybe disrupt it!

CoH was just a more layed out method allowing planning during a fight, 1, 2, 5 seconds ahead or more, rather than a constant immediate response cycle posing as action fun for some reason.

Ironically you could maintain some of that in a CoH style thing. Who didn't like knocking someone on their can with the Nemesis staff, mid alpha build up?

But fights were about my order of execution most of the time, rather than mandatory-or-die constant quick responses to a change every second or two.

The very existence of the taunting tank irritates, for it requires idiotic AI that obeys the taunt.
