Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

MWM and CoT General Info

I went looking around all over the various CoT/MWM locations, and I was disappointed within the labyrinth of dispersed information to still be bewildered. I think it would be beneficial to both the staff/developers, and the backers/customers for MWM to consolidate all of these disparate elements into one location. Because right now, to get information about the game, we have to look at:

 • A Kickstarter Page
 • A Facebook Page
 • A forum
 • A YouTube Channel
 • A BlogSpot Blog
 • A Twitch Channel

And even then, you might still not get the full scoop. It would be good if this information was all centralized in one place, like, for example, the official site.

That's actually just a side rant, my main question is actually this: Does there exist an Org Chart somewhere of who all is in MWM, who is doing what, and who reports to whom? I went looking and I just couldn't find anything in the publicly accessible locations. So at this point, from what I can see, MWM basically just *IS* Doctor Tyche, and whoever he decides to assign to do certain tasks at certain times. I can't seem to find any sort of ebb or flow or way to determine who is doing what right now, and four years out, I'm slightly disappointed in this. By this time in its development, CoH had a full staff listing, and each person had a job title, and could be contacted directly (at least through the forums) to ask them questions about their processes and progress. Now, I know that MWM is largely made of unpaid volunteers, but still, it would be REALLY nice to know WHO those volunteers are, what they are doing, and what their place in the "hierarchy" of the project is.

Any work or responses towards that goal would be greatly appreciated.

That is part of the problem

That is part of the problem (clear & consistent communication) with what is being discussed in the See us at Pax West, post #132 thread.

There are significant hurdles that a person must go through just to understand the mechanics of the game as it is planned. Dev metes out information when prompted or antagonized enough. So it gets buried in threads.
Suggestions to stay abreast of current events:
1.) check the main page for updates as they will not always be posted as "Announcements" but they may appear as linked topics in "Discussion" topics under Discussion of Announcements.
2.) check the KS Update Reference List under forums/kickstarter discussions/kickstarter update reference list
3.) There is a Developer intro thread somewhere, but I don't remember where it is located atm. (try this for an outdated thread)
4.) Try to get current on what is going on here and poke around a bit.

Every developer has a symbol

Every developer has a symbol that lets you know they are a developer and each puts a job description in their signature. Since the kickstarter the development team has changed composition a few times, as any volunteer effort tends to.

MWM does not really have an 'official' website (quotations for effect). Until they do there isn't really a single place you can go for information.

Currently MWM is a bit short staffed in most areas but are in the process of correcting that. They have made it clear that these staff shortages are not affecting the actual development (afaik).

Aside form Planet10's suggestions, have you tried contacting anyone in MWM to get answers to your questions? I'm sure if you did you will either get a list of the MWM volunteer contributors or directions on where to find them.

Maybe not one, but definitely fewer.

IIRC, the current media strategy is "If it's important, it's in a Kickstarter Update." Winter has been maintaining a post listing our Kickstarter updates
.

That said, our PR team has been doing a great job of keeping the news posts here and the KS updates in sync. Facebook posts should also be in sync with the KS updates. So unless someone drops the ball, you can pick any of those sources and you'll be set.

The YouTube and Twitch channels are for not just releases, but work-in-progress stuff as well. Just in case you want to peek behind the curtain. Again, if it's important, it'll be covered in a KS update.

The blog is dead. The social media list page you linked to is quite out of date.

That's the long-term goal.

I don't know if it's available for public release. That said, Grimfox is maintaining a post listing our developers or at least the ones you can contact on the forums.

And had people working full time maintaining that presence.

Not "largely". Entirely. Which we hope to change after the Second Chance.

I should update my signature, shouldn't I... >_<

And the dev badge icon is ancient and really needs an update. I need to pry the new one out of our art guys.

We've got a missingworldsmedia.com site but it's basically a placeholder for contact information in the interest of keeping web dev resources focused on cityoftitans.com.

In general, when in doubt, resources go to developing the game.

Has anyone seen my mind? It was right here...

I got a mention. WHOOO!

I got a mention. WHOOO!

I've not updated the dev list in awhile. I don't think there have been any major additions lately I think the last 3 were Lin, Amievil, and FleshForge or the Hair guy? That said I think DrT said there were 60 people involved during the PAX presentation, or during the resulting conversation, last check there were just over 20 people listed in my thread.

I was recently wondering

I was recently wondering about a website too and I even went around to different games to check out theirs. But you need fully completed magazine ready concept art that you can sprinkle throughout the site to really be able to make something like that stand out and I think their focus is the structure of the building before putting up the pretty walls.
