Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Mission Architect?

I know this is a pretty divisive issue for most people in the MMO community, but honestly I think the mission architect was one of the best things about CoH aside from the character creator. Most people claim that it was responsible for supposedly "ruining" the game, but I disagree. While most people used it to farm XP (which people will find other ways to do anyway), I always used it to actually create my own missions and stories. Honestly, it's a roleplayer's dream-come-true to be able to create your own missions, with your own antagonists and supporting characters, and really be a part of adding more to your supergroup's world and lore through that sort of thing.

I'm not sure if there are any plans for such a thing, but will CoT have a mission architect or a similar system? Both Star Trek Online and Neverwinter both have them, and I've never heard anyone complain about them having problems because of it.

There are plans for one.

There are plans for one.
There's a whole subheading devoted to it a little farther down the main list of forums.

We don't have much information about the capabilities of it but they've said they want to make the same tools used to make the main missions available to us in some limited fashion.

As Rigel said CoT is at least

As Rigel said the CoT Devs are at least "planning" to have some kind of mission architect system. I don't know if it's going to be a priority for launch day or not, but it's something they at least want to try to provide at some point.

From a historical point of view the biggest problem with CoH's mission architect (MA) system was that when it was first released it was just a lot easier to farm XP from than it should have been. It wasn't so much "broken" as it was "unregulated". The risk vs. reward ratio made it far easier to build private power-leveling farms than to deal with other kinds of earlier Dev-created content for farming. Everybody always had this misguided idea that the Devs strictly wanted to try to make farming with the MA impossible and the so-called "controversy" surrounding it boiled down to the farmers arguing with the anti-farmers. The truth was that the Devs were never completely 100% anti-farm; they just wanted to make sure that the farming potential was balanced and not so trivially easy that people would decide to ONLY play in farms. Their goal was never to stop farming completely (or even in general) but to control it so that it didn't get out of hand.

I have to assume that the Devs of CoT will take into account all of the "lessons learned" from CoH so when it finally releases its own version of the MA that it'll be better able to deal with the whole farming issue than CoH did.
