What came out at Jourgun was right out of Jurassic Park. Three Utah Raptors thought the Movie called them Velociraptors they were three human size dinosaurs and the one in the center let out a shriek then leaped at him with those slashing claws.
Lily turned her head hearing an odd sound from outside. "What do you think he do if I just stay in the camp ground?" In her slight fear she didn't hide the birthmark on her face.

As his hand felt a tug, The striker let out a sigh. He should have known better. Soon the vine would be suspending him in the air, aided by the strength of old lumber and leverage. More vines came towards him. He swung his weight around if only to give himself a short moment to work. By now, the satchel fell to the ground, the kerosene lamp giving a gentle sound of broken glass. So much for conserving fuel.
With his free hand, the striker cut his other arm free with his claws rather than waste energy on the warp-cut he was so fond of. He was almost instantly wrapped in more vines. Finally, he managed to dislodge himself, it but only for a moment, and pick up the satchel he dropped. Before he was bound again, he struck a match, lighting up a sheet of kerosene-soaked cloth and wrapped it around his arm. The vines naturally shrunk away from the flames: self preservation and all that, as did most wild animals in fact. The flames would hardly even effect the striker in truth. The science was that by wrapping the cloth around his arm, he had insulated himself from the fire for a short time. On top of that, the Kerosene fuel was what burned, not the cloth, and as the fuel burned, it was naturally wicked to the surface to continue burning. Hopefully by now, the vines would give up on trying to strangle something that was on fire...

Jourgun raised a forarm up to protect his face, both of the clawed feet just missing his face as he grabbed one of the raptors ankles and yanked back, swinging the beast into one of the near by trees. That gave him enough time to pull out his mace and swing it full force into one of the others breaking all of its ribs and one of its arm on the left side killing it instantly ..He walked to the last one, the one that he had yet to kill and allowed it to charge him before grabbing onto its upper and lower jaws wrestling it into the ground and ripping the bottom jaw clean off of the rest of its skull before beating it to death with it.

"He said the camp was safe. But he might make you uncomfortable or embarrass you." Gunnhilde looked at Lily. "You also wouldn't be helping get us back to our homes. But if you did go out, and something attacked you, could you defend yourself?"

Jourgun his hands now soaked in blood removed one of the 5 inch claws that was on its foot and skinned all of the raptors aswell as felleting most of the feet from there bones before useing the sheets of skin as a bag somewhat filling it with the meat. "That's good eaten right there!" He took a bite from one of the raptor fellets before continueing his journy.

Up to this point, Magnhild had been sitting in the Hall of Mess, eating quietly. She had been challenged by Loki before and knew that these trials would require mental and emotional fortitude as well as physical prowess. She looked over at the other two women. "Gunnhilde makes an excellent point. Do you have any sort of martial training, Lily?"

Jourgun started to hum himself a little song strumming his Mace as if it were a guitar. Stopping at a large tree to rest, and eat some of the raptor meat he had in his makeshift bag, he didn't know where he was other then the foot prints his combat boots and the blood that dripped from his mace and hands.

She shrugs "Basic self defense martial arts classes, that and I do have a touch of precognition. Just short of half a minute not enough to cheat on tests, just barely enough to avoid stomping my toes." Sighs "So humiliation and being tormented if I don't play along, Middle school bullies all over again."
The Vines moved away from Rift like he figured the plants natural behavior makes them avoid the flames. Up head he could see a door with a metal plate with One designed into it. He found the first challenge.

"Hey Loki...I am sure there is more for me to do then kill some lizards right?" Jourgun continued to press on through the thick woods.

Jerros , entered the mess hall casually, still in wolf form. He walked over to the meats and pulled a large ham off the table. laying in the corner he started to devour it. He waited to see if the others were leaving, so far only two were gone, the other three were still here. So he tore the meat off in chunks , enjoying his meal.
"Hmm, precognition... I didn't catch your link to Asgard, maybe you're related to one of the Norns? I heard they were hanging out in Japan a while back, but from there they could've gone anywhere..." Gunnhilde was interested mainly to get a sense of how much help the new girl would need, or be able to give...

"I don't know either. From what I know my family came from northern Italy, thought there could have been some Norse blood mixed." She set there and looked out the window "I do know there some germanic blood somewhere perhaps the Asgard touch came from that."

Loki appeared sitting on a tree limb eating an apple. "Now Jourgun aren't you a blood thirsty one. Your heading to the Sixth door, just on the other side of the ruins. I never intended the Island to be a challenge, just it's own natural chaotic dangers. However sense you ask... I leave a present for you in the ruins." With that he was gone.

Magnhild nodded, having heard exactly what she expected. Lily did not carry herself like a warrior, so Magnhild had suspected that she would have had very little martial training or combat experience. "I believe it will be safest for you if you stay with one of us outside of camp, Lily. Gunnhilde, would you like to explore together or go our separate ways like Jourgun and Rift?"

Jourgun gave Loki a odd smile setting off in the distance of the ruins the area going from a lively green wood to a mostly rock landscape. He had left his raptor pouch behind as he made his way through the ruins..looking for a door. " Loki has a surpise for me...cool."

"Together, I think," answered Gunnhilde. "I'm not all that woodwise. More eyes would help counter the noise I'd make."

Without much thought to it, Rift opened the door, a defiance to his stance that said it was time to start. He left the flaming rag just outside to burn out and die in the mud. The distinct smell of kerosene wafting through the air, then quickly dieing. He still had another blanket's worth of cloth soaked in fuel on him, but for the challenge, he assumed he'd be able to get by with just himself. He left the makeshift satchel inside the door, off tot he side of the frame, then closed the way shut. His tail flicked the air like a cat's, and sparks raced through the air giving a faint light and glow. When he thought he had taken in the surroundings of the area properly, he gave a nod, and sought out instructions, written, verbal, or situational.

Lily sighed "Crap I just figured it out. We think we were random, but look." She points to Magnhild "You're expert combatant, then we have the wit someone smart clever and able to make what ever tool she may need." Motioning to Gunnhilde as she switched. "Then we have someone we know we can't really trust, I bet there one challenge where we will have to trust the untrustful." She eyed Jerros. "Than we have the unknown someone we don't know whose side he's on or his skills, that lizard fellow. Followed by the gun ho I can do things on my own Jourgun. That leaves one left the one who seems useless and a burden, me. It's all mind games to figure us out, I'm here to be a hinderance someone that can't really help in a battle. The only thing I can hope to benefit is that I can give a few second warning of a trap."
----------------------------------------
Jourgun would come to the ruins old stone work seeming of Medieval Europe times. Loki stood in front of what might have been a church at one time "Tell me, ever seen Jason and the Argonauts?" He opened a small bag and tossed what was inside. Teeth hit the ground and sink into the earth, then bony hands rise up followed by full formed skeletons each with shield and sword. All together there was 6 of them "You're good with flesh and blood, but what about foes that have none?" The Skeletons started charging for Jourgun shields held in front of them as the lift their swords.
-----------------------------------------------
The door now behind rift closes and vanishes he was now in a room with numbered six sided tiles on the floor the one he stood on was empty. The choices he had were one Tile with the number 1 to his left that also had another tile with a 1 near it, the tile before him had 0, and the one to the right had the number 7. At the far end there were three doors each with a tile in front of one door with the number 114, and another tile with 432, the last was 42. In all it looks to be about 12 tiles from where he stood to one of the doors at the far end.

Gunnhilde considered. "Hmmm, party tailored to plot? Could be. Of course, most of the time that trope doesn't have anyone completely useless on the team. It may be that Loki knows more than you do about your powers."
Looking over to Jerros, she asked, "Do you want to come with us after you're done, or are you going to be, you should pardon the expression, the 'lone wolf'?"

Jourgun placed his mace onto his back and charged toward the skeletons, Jumping into the air high enough to dodge the majoraty of the sword strikes, one nipping him on the thigh. As he moved over them his hands grabbed the shield of one of the skeletons prying it from its hands, swinging it into the same one splitting it at the nec He made more separation from the others pulling out his mace to finish off the final 5.

The rules seemed simple. This was a math game of sorts, but the majority of the tiles were hidden. That still left lingering doubt as to the rules at which the game was played. He could assume there would be consequences to simply stepping over tiles, but it was also possible the rules were all in his head, and the joke was that he'd be moving super carefully across a short hallway when the real challenge might be just "left, middle, or right". First thing's first though: he tried tearing a small portal open to test if his power functioned in this small place.
"Thinking time... There are 3 numbers at the end. 42, 114, and 432. Whether it's addition or multiplication is an unknown. One can infer however, the size of 432, and the presence of a 0 tile as a sort of reset button would suggest that the operation in question is multiplication... To reach 42, I would need a 2, a 3, a 7, and a lot of 1, or a zero reset part way through. To reach 114 I would need a 2, a 3, and a 19, and just as many 1's or a mid-path reset... 432 breaks down to 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, and again, many 1's." The striker took to looking past the first few tiles that were available to instead, look for a path from the end that backtracked following those multiples. After-all, it was possible that two, three, or even four tiles each led to the end point at each door. Trial and error... Any zeroes near the doors were treated as potential resets. By reaching the door in the smallest possible moves, he could check his theory on multiplication, while still having enough potential steps remaining to test addition as well. All this pre-planning was assuming he could even see the other tiles before starting.
Stalkers don't die: They simply... Disappear.
Jerros took all the conversation in. He finished his meal and stood, still in wolf form. He approached the other three and snarled "I shall accompany you".....thinking this was his role. He still was unsure why he was summoned but he was becoming more complacent with the whole ordeal. Knowing also the assistance thewy could lend, he knew now was not the time to do anything rash. "we shall aid each other for the time " he finished saying....."all differences put aside , agreed?" his main query was focused at Magnhild
Lily looked at Jerros "Truth be told I'm surprised you're still in the camp. Kind of clear what you're here for to me. The point of this is he testing us, what better way to snub his nose at the other Asgardians then to have one of his linage prove he's better than the others. Of course he wouldn't want to grant a wish to someone like Gunnhilde who might be smart enough to think of a wish he couldn't twist. I really doubt his pride could stomach having to reward his Niece." She tilted her head looking at Jerros "Or you could be clever enough to let us tire ourselves getting the keys, and you just have to get one to make sure you get through the door first. Is that it? That's why you're not out risking your hide on these challenges better for us to do the hard work?"
------------------
The skeletons showed no fear, no signs of having any pain at all. Even worst the one he grab the shield one continued with the others with one arm missing. That arm was still holding onto the shield and it's fingers moving as it was trying to get at Jourgun. Loki laughed "Nice move. See what you get when you tempt a God. I will give you a hint, they can be destroyed, the weak spot all babies have, but gone when grown." With that he vanished.

Gunnhilde shook her head. It seemed Lily had limited tact. "Lily. Stop antagonizing him. If Jerros wants to cooperate with us, we cooperate with him. Time enough later to worry about who gets to leave first."

Magnhild eyed the wolfman, then grasped his forearm in the traditional warrior's way. "Agreed. Though you are of Fenrir, you are not the beast itself. I can cooperate to gain release from this place."
She looked over at Gunnhilde. "Do you have a direction you wish to proceed in first?"

"Off that way, about a kilometre, is what feels like a wrecked plane. Eleven hundred yards, if you're more used to the old style measurements." Gunnhilde pointed into the woods, maybe seventy degrees from tangent of the lakeshore. "If we don't find some better clue to guide us, it'll at least give me materials to make tools."

"Alright then." Jourgun started swinging for the skeletens skulls at the top spicificly. Hopeing he was refering to a soft spot.

Magnhild contemplated asking how she knew what was out there, then she thought about who Gunnhilde was related to and answered her own question. "Very well then."
She looked over at Lily and considered for a second, then reached into her pocket dimension again and extracted the hammer and axe. "Lily, do you wish to have a weapon? Gunnhilde or I could give you some basic lessons to start practicing with."

"Maybe a staff or something? I did a little baton twirling, wanted to be a cheerleader, well before I figured out that the girl with mix matched face would be the one that gets bullied."
----------------------------
Jourgun figured it out and when he bashed the first skull the whole skeleton collapsed into just a pile of bones.

Gunnhilde nodded. "A good choice, and often underestimated." She went out to the entrance to the camp and selected a sapling that was a bit taller than Magnhild, using her diamond blade to cut it off at the base. Then she trimmed off the branches, laying them in a pile near the gate for later use, and finally cut off the top so that the staff would come up to Lily's chin when grounded. "Many of the same lessons in using a staff can also be used with a spear or a bayonetted rifle." By now the cells of the sapling had died enough that Gunnhilde could Craft the staff, making it smooth and even, without a taper, as if it had been turned on a lathe. She grasped it in the middle, then rested one end on her right hand, judging the balance. From that position she tossed it into the air where it spun around one and a half times before she reached up and grabbed the other end. She brought it down and laid it across her left arm to offer it to Lily.

Jourgun was blocking and parrying blows like a master his mace swinging to the skelotons as he danced aroung them with only one left standing before him he placed his mace onto his back."Bring it." He allowed the being to charge him again, his strong hands grasping at its wristss pulling hard until its non sheilded arm was yanked off and he gave it a headbut bashing its face in until it was nothing more then a white bowl.

"Okay staff it is." she headed out sde with Gunnhide "I think the slight precog I have could help in a fight. Like I said I did do some gymnastics and baton twirling so I shouldn't be to much of a helpless target." She took the staff and nodded stepping away a bit she gave the staff some twirling and spins. "So we got a group of four.. where should we head off to?"
--------------------------------------------
Jourgun would be able to take a breather after the last skeleton feel and look around the ruins. From the set up it was something from ancient rome or greece. In the center of what would be the marketplace was a Door like the one at camp marked with the number 4. And Loki eating an apple leaning up against it. "You might want to get help in this one big fella. Kind of thought of a few challenges that need more than one pair of hands. Then again it's your choice."

Gunnhilde pointed toward the (presumed) airplane she'd sensed. "That way, until we find something interesting." She chose her path to avoid undergrowth as much as possible, but kept her diamond blade handy to cut through what she needed to.
