Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Late Release

I have not logged in for awhile. When I donated $1,000 of my very hard earned money we were told the beta would be in 2015. NOW it appears that has been put off an entire year. Very Disappointed

For what it's worth I'm into

For what it's worth I'm into this game with some "hard earned money" as well and I'll just suffice it to say that I'm "into" it even more than your are in that respect. Obviously if I could wave a magic wand I would have had this game launched yesterday as well.

But since you have not logged on for a while the simple answer is that they switched to the Unreal Engine 4 for the major development of the game. While they told us (many months ago) that doing that would likely shift their schedule back in the long run it will be better for the overall lifespan of the game. It was a reasonable engineering decision on their part.

Also for what it's worth they are still planning to release their standalone character creator app well before the actual alpha/beta of the main game. We still have roughly 7 months of "2015" to go so I'm not going to get seriously worried about it unless the character creator app doesn't appear before the end of the year.

And even then, if there's a delay on the Avatar Builder (commonly abreviated as AB), I'm sure there will be an announcement explaining in a way intended to manage expectations.

Cut the guy a little slack

Cut the guy a little slack Lothic. I live with someone who is like him and very anxious to play this game. I always tell my roommate( or remind) they upgraded to the UE4( as you mentioned) they have an ever changing staff who are 1) not getting paid, 2) have families and 3) they have lives and other jobs and priorities. So when compared to the AAA company like Sony and N.C Soft or Blizzard who have dedicated staff of hundreds of writers, artists, and all others a game needs whom might I add are under contract, they can throw out screenshots and art on their page constantly or whenever they feel and show you how cool the game will be when it is released, because they are on a schedule. With COT it is not (as I gather) like a AAA game company, this will take time.

Now what I said is not "fact" but pure speculation and opinion based solely from reading the dev posts and how I interpret the meaning. They know they cannot keep a game in development for over extended period of time for "reasons". So just relax my friend, keep up with updates( which I am sure is due today in fact) and take solace the game is coming along.

Of the canonical Better,

Of the canonical Better, Quicker, and Cheaper, they've by necessity chosen Cheaper. The remaining choice is either Better or Quicker. They've chosen the former. I agree with that choice, but reasonable people could disagree. We'll all need patience.

I share your general

I share your general sentiment Nijanus.

I think production could be stronger. But I've been satisfied with what i've seen. Unlike other games, the costuming and Avatar Builder is a very LARGE part of what makes City of Titans. While in other games players may spend an hour.. I know players who want to spend WEEKS in the new avatar builder making designs and characters we've never seen.

Frankly we've seen that world building does not take NEARLY the time it used to in a MMO (making every single tree and placing it doesn't need to exist anymore)

The bulk of dev time will be spent on Character Models, Animations, and FX. I do think they could be further along on these but they've truly explained on each turn that they have procedural specifications. You can't run before you walk and they aren't just walking.. they're oh the high-wire and doing well considering the tightrope of fan expectation.

I was fairly sure I was "cutting the guy some slack" with my response. We all want to play this game ASAP and for what it's worth I'm fairly well aware of everything you said.

I suppose my main point, to be a little blunt, was that I've "donated" more to MWM via the Kickstarter than Nijanus did and you don't see me complaining about any delays... at least not yet at any rate.
