Hey Guys-I do indeed kinda live after a very long hiatus away from the site! :D
Anywho, I was recently stuck gestating a character concept that I hope to be able to bring to life in City of Titans, but I do need some help hammering out a few details.
Kid Zodiac is a boy hailing from San Francisco's Chinatown, Carter Lin, who was magically blessed with the power to call upon the various abilities of the Chinese Zodiac: Ox, Rabbit, Snake, Tiger, Rat, Rooster, Pig, Dragon, Dog, Rabbit, Monkey, and Horse.
I have a few of the abilities imagined already, but would love for you guys to chip in with suggestions!
Horse: Superhuman Speed.
Ox: Superhuman Strength
Rabbit: Superhuman Agility
Snake: Flexibility and Contortionism
Rat: Stealth/Invisibility?
Rooster: ?
Pig: Fortitude/Immunity to Disease?
Dog: ?
Tiger: Claws/Bestial Rage?
Monkey: Balance?
Dragon: Fire Immunity/ FIRE BREATH!!!
Any suggestions for how he was empowered, the conditions of his powers, and more ideas for powers?

Dogs tend to have superb tracking skills, so super-smelling and super-hearing would be good. As for the rooster, the ability to emit sonic blasts could be reminiscent of the cockledoodling of roosters. As for pigs and rats, what you have is ideal. The tiger idea could be claws since the whole "bestial rage" thing is kind of shared by all the other aggressive animals. The monkey's power is also fine, but throwing in a tail would really separate it from the rabbit's agility.

Thanks! Super Tracking and Hearing for the dog sounds great, and I didn't think of that ability for a rooster...I like it! Tiger could keep the claws, and I was wondering if the tail could be..a aura of sorts, as would his claws, since he doesn't actually transform into the said animals...

Glad to be of assistance. Since zodiac and other cosmological lore tends to be spiritual in nature, having spectral claws and tails (and horns for the dragon and ox, too! :D) would be really sweet. I'm all for the idea of having shaped auras like that, if that sounds good to you!

Yeah-that's what I had in mind, the shape of each of the creatures appearing over him when he uses their abilities, if not briefly when he calls upon the powers.

Ox: Industriousness
Tiger : Valor
Rabbit: Caution
Dragon: Strength
Snake: Flexibility
Horse: Forging ahead
Goat: Unity
Monkey: Changability
Rooster: Being constant
Dog: Fidelity
Pig: Amiability
If you're reaching for the chinese zodiac, you might want to honor the chinese meanings/interpretations behind the animals first before taking a more "westernized" view of the same critters.

Tiger:Berserk mode/camouflage;
Rabbit:Speed;
Dragon:Flight/Fire control/Wisdom(maybe);
Snake:Stealth/Flexibility;

Goat:Ramming attack;
Monkey:Climbing,Jumping attacks/May use his tail in combat;
Rooster:Lullaby/Something related to sound;
Dog:enhanced tracing;
Pig:health and defense
