"Unpowered, undaunted, unstoppable."
"These were the words my great grandmother said to her daughter, my grandmother to my mother, and my mother unto me as the torch and legacy was passed. In the span of three generations three women before me have worn the title of the Kestrel, a bird of prey not for field mice and snakes, but those that would dare to sow injustice and misery upon the streets of Titan City."
"Those sidewalks and alleyways are my hunting grounds now, my responsibility, my obligation to protect those that walk upon them. Rich or Poor, young or old, wayward vagabond or Good Samaritan, you are under my gaze and my charge."
"To the villains that dare display themselves and hurt those within this metropolis, who believe that mayhem and murder, destruction and decimation are their right. I simply offer ONE warning: I may be only human, but my drive and resourcefulness is anything but."
"The shadows are my cloak, justice is my dagger...and the night belongs to the Kestrel!"
Abilities: Kestrel possesses no superhuman abilities, aside from a iron forged will, acrobatic, physical, and reflexive prowess rivaling that of an Olympic athlete, formidable combat skill, a keen investigative mind. Trained practically from birth to take her mother's position via a rigorous ordinary and uncanny education consisting of private tutors and vigilante mentors, she has been molded carefully and gradually into the woman she is today.
Combat: Taught to defend herself from as early as her fourth year, Kestrel excels in the unarmed and armed martial arts of Judo, Aikido, and Jiujitsu. While by no means a master, she is well versed in each art's principles and applications and combines them with her use of stealth, speed, and agility with staggering efficiency.
Endurance and Acrobatics: Honing her body with the aid of private gymnasts and trying personal trainers, Kestrel's balance, coordination, flexibility, agility, reflexes, endurance, and pain tolerance has been enhanced beyond the human norm. As such, she is able to exert herself physically for much longer than a ordinary human, sustain punishing but not superhuman blows, and move her body and react with uncanny speed and precision.
Will and Intelligence: Shaped by a slew of private tutors and the lessons of her family's circle of crime fighters and their allies, Kestrel's mind is keen and sharp, her intelligence a valuable asset to her heroic and ordinary escapades in both her alter egos. In addition, her willpower serves as a source of unmeasurable vigor in the face of blinding pain and adversity. She will keep fighting either until she is unable or otherwise unconscious or incapacitated.
Weaknesses and Vices: While she possesses a strong moral compass and instinctive need for justice, Kestrel, or the woman behind the mask: Rebecca Stanton, is not without her flaws.
Claustrophobia: Rebecca is a victim of crippling Claustrophobia stemming from an experience during her first year operating as Kestrel, in which her now tempered impulsiveness led to her rushing into a trap set by a vile serial killer who's hero worship manifested in capturing and entombing them to be preserved on his property forever within a plexiglass coffin.
Eventually freeing herself from her predicament by using Stockholm syndrome to convince him to loosen her restraints, this was only possible after spending an entire night awake, aware, and 20 feet underground, forced to watch fellow heroes about her give into despair and asphyxiation.
As expected, she has developed an acute Claustrophobia, to the point where she will shut down or panic if she is confined and/or restrained within a constricting space.
Hero Complex: Simply put, Rebecca suffers from a rather common mentality among genuine heroes, she feels that she must save EVERYONE within a hazardous situation every time, no matter the threat or her condition. This has escalated to the point to where she will compromise her own safety in a heartbeat to save the life of one man, or a thousand.
This can be used against her in a confrontation as a definite method of neutralization.
Emotional/Physical Isolation: A unintentional byproduct of her training, Rebecca has subconsciously forced herself to mask physical and emotional pain and cope by isolating herself from the situation and subsquesantly brooding to an extent, no matter the issue.
Inferiority Complex: A rarely displayed product of her upbringing, Rebecca suffers from a sense of inferiority due to constantly being compared to her predecessors, fellow female vigilantes, and those who possess superpowers.
Only Human: Simply put, without her costume, tech, and various other araments, she is only a highly trained mortal human being. She can be killed by whatever means can prove fatal for a human, such as bullets, knives, fatal falls, overwhelming force or strength, etc.

Real Name: Rebecca Stanton
Age: 26
Costume: Her suit is a tired and self patented Kevlar and shockabsorbing material weave with a emphasis on heavier padding upon her chest, upper arms and legs, and neck. The primary color is black laced with grey padding, with her fingers, heels, and shoulder pads laced with a custom lightweight golden metal, Stantonite, To further elaborate, the top half consists of an armored black and grey padded light spread Kevlar weave with it's edges lined with Stantonite, the elblem upon it a striking falcon embroidered in that same material.
The lower half of her costume aside from a fully yet lightly stocked grey belt upon her waist, is a pair of sleek black synthetic shock absorbing weave in black, again the edges along her thighs in Stantonite. Finally, her attire is completed by black thigh high heels and and a narrow, black gold tipped eyemask to hide her identity coupled with a automatically activated voice modulator.
Appearence: Fair toned, Rebecca possesses a generally unmarred complexion save for numerous scars, old and new usually hidden by decisive clothing. She possesses her mother's dark brown hair and her father's hazel eyes, and his small dimples when she (rarely) smiles. Generally considered pretty and beautiful, so much so she is considered one of Titan City's most eligible bachelorettes, though she debates this heavily.
Biography: Rebecca Stanton is the sole daughter of Melissa and Aaron Stanton, a wealthy future heiress to the Stanton Tech dynasty which has evolved from a metalworking factory within the 1800's to a premiere military and police armament supplier since the era of the World Wars.
Unknown to most but those within the family's inner circle, the Stanton's are part of another legacy entirely: heroics and vigilantism. Her father and his predecessors served as steadfast military men, and her mother's as actual vigilantes, the first being her great grandmother who opted to serve as the first Kestrel to fight alongside her husband in Europe during the First World War.
Her grandmother had respectively fought in World War II and the 60's thereafter, and her own mother who was active during briefly the 80's, before retiring to raise and train Rebecca.
Growing up hearing tales of her parents' heroics from aging super and war heroes alike galvanized young girl, and eagerly soaked in her training and private education, to her father's unmentioned chargin, who wanted his daughter to learn how to be normal before anything.
Despite his objections, Rebecca continued upon her quest to becoming the fourth Kestrel with vigor amidst the seclusion of the Stanton estate and shadowing her mother and her allies within the shadows of Ironport and Clarkstown. However, though she continued her training during her teenage years, she did experience pangs of rebellion that were often exercised in uncostumed jounts across the rooftops past curfew. It was on one of these nights that the foundation for her path ahead was cemented forever.
On the night of her 17th birthday, Rebecca got into a heated arguement with her father revolving around his decision to go on another tour within Iraq the day to promote Stanton Tech's newest weaponry, to which he countered that it was no more dangerous then her mother's and her own pending vigilantism, going as far to say that their legacy was foolish, and that she didn't have what it takes before walking out.
Rebecca having already left in anger and hurt to lament upon the rooftop of a Clarkstown brownstone, ignored the pained cries for help in the alleyway two streets away in blind loathing: unaware that it was her own father being assaulted and fatally beaten to death for unknowingly walking into gang territory, arriving to late to do more than simply hold he hand and sob.
Her father's death served as the unfortunate and tragic catalyst to complete and solidify her training, her mother serving as a tough yet greifstricken taskmaster to help her do so. To this end, on her 24th birthday on which she was deemed ready, Rebecca was introduced to both her new position as acting CEO of Stanton Tech per her father's will, and to the Nest, the base of operations of the original Kestrel which has been upgraded and rennovated as needed.
Armed with wealth and resources, tech and superb training, and an inhuman drive, the Kestrel is ready to strike once more!
((Alright, there she is! It took about an hour of prethought but there is my first true legacy heroine and heroic vigilante. I hope I crafted a good and intriguing character overall and welcome any comments, thoughts, or constructive criticism!))
