As I said I just found this game, last name specifically. I spent a good deal of last night in bed trying to read stuff on my phone. As I'm sure you can imagine, the phone is not the best place to be trying to read as much about a new game. So I'm sorry if some of these questions are easily found and answered, I did try, just from a phone.
First of all, looking the powers over it doesn't seem like there's any kind of pet or minion power set. Is that right or am I missing something? In CoV I loved the mastermind and some of my best memories of CoH/V are from that character. Plus I tend to be drawn to minion classes in general.
Secondly, I know there's some lore on the kickstarter page, is that where I'll find most of it? Is there some better place I can go to read up on what lore we have already?
Finally, are we heroes only in this game? Are there game mechanics for anti-heroes or villians? Or would those have to be RP only elements?
Thanks in advance for the answers, and sorry again if these are easily found and I just failed to find them.
You are certainly not the only one that misses the magic that was CoX masterminds, I'm right there with you!
CoT has plans for that style of class, they just won't be in at launch.
Shelving the return of Mr. Boss Man (I'm bad at names ok!) for another day then. Thanks for the answer ^_^
Welcome to the game. :)
The good news is that when Commanders (the new name for Masterminds in CoT) appear we are supposed to be getting more ways to actually customize our pets so that they all don't have to look like everyone else's pets. That'll hopefully make it worth the wait.
There's a lot of lore spread around like (for instance) under the "Titan City" and "Cape Chasers" sections of this webpage menu.
The game will not be hardwired into "hero" and "villain" factions. There's not going to be a strict "redside" or "blueside". Basically how you play will determine how heroic or villainous you want to be.
The game will have both an Alignment and Reputation system. Your alignment values will be affected by the decisions you make in the game. And you'll maintain a Reputation value with every NPC faction in the game good or bad. So for instance if you start to do a bunch of villainous things your Rep with the Titan City Cops will likely suffer making them more likely to shoot at you on sight.

Welcome Miatog.
To add to this you should also take note of the path system (mentioned briefly here) that, as far as I can tell, are the basic premise/motivation for your character. They will launch with four of them, both hero and villain for "north-side" (high profile/spandex types, think Superman and Lex Luthor respectively) and "south-side" (more street-level types, like Batman and Joker/Penguin). The path will not be strict but rather a starting point or "general direction" and will react to and "develop" based on ones choices done in the path missions, it will also be chosen (at least initially) by a combination of starting point (north or south side) and a choice done during the tutorial (hero or villain). I believe they have stated that you will, later on, be able to "switch" paths.
Welcome to the forums Miatog! Some time ago one of our fellow forumites compiled a list of "known" information. Could be worth your attention.
