I erased all reference to this 'jane' woman from the thread. I swear she's nothing.

Hmm, probably I should just edit that, since in their time defending yourself with lethal force was perfectly fine given enough witnesses, which there were. Their weapons too might be, I should think of another reason... They are carrying hazardous materials, technically.

I must repeat that I love the martians... Creepy little green helpers... They're so light too, they don't mind being thrown.

One more thing: I may have just thought of a cooky steam punk way for the silver martian rock to work. Since they technically have electricity, though lots of things have green rock receptors and silver or gold wiring that's been laced with martian rock in it, or just a strand bundled in, acts kind of like a nervous system. So the silver stuff is 'inert' until something sends a signal to it, green rock with the silver stuff layered on it will act like a screen :D Though everything may be a little green... Aaand it will take awhile to get to this.

I'm thinking they would be conscientious enough to know not to bring some things back from the future in case of contamination. Though things at parallel junctures, that's fine. Anything published from an alternate history could just be seen as some knock off rendition, or something.

The size makes a lot of sense, I may not have mentioned that the great martians were most likely engineered, though since it may never have been mentioned until now, having the two evolve parallel to one another is a good idea. Maybe the Great Martians force the smarter Lil Green Martians to build the mother ships and escape, even though they already learned to save moisture and probably sustain enough water for themselves.

The Great Martians would be the winners of the fight, essentially enslaving the green ones who created the green, orange and blue rocks. The Great Martians created the black rocks, similarly to how we essentially made it quantum-mechanically inert, they forced more potential into it, and resulted in something very bad. OOC, unless you want madness as a trait of your character, don't. touch. the black rocks. You wouldn't want to. Anyway, after the brutes won and the martians fled their planet, the dwindling resource and the cost of a ship to transport most of the population is staggering, it probably accellerates or finished off what was already starting. Plus all that happened in the war and the black rock.

Travelling here they knew they would need their resources, hense hucking the meteors at us, seeding our planet for the resources they would need to for their technology, but the voyage took long enough for us to learn to use it. Atleast enough that their ships were vulnerable to certain technology of ours, namely any projectile with an electromagnetic field effected by martian rocks. I rarely mention this because he doesn't like to use it, but there's a weapon Aaron has that basically nukes the cell on his arm he calls it Desperation and it's a single shot magnetic rail gun. There are larger versions on ships that fling many more of these at a time, Aaron would be knocked a few feet back using it.

I was also thinking about the line of events that our characters have likely been through. I think we mentioned order of joining the crew, but I'm wanting to go back a bit and discuss the specifics? I have a few events in mind that would be fun to reference in flash back style or something, easily done with Cray around, they both relate to him. One being their encounter in his mansion in France, where he's experimenting on martians and the effects of the rocks. Franz takes over the mansion after our crew goes in.

I think that, and please correct me, Jeb was the first on the crew, most likely someone he met fighting in the war. Could be wrong, was thinking they likely met up in Cratre City when he got back in. Probably looking for work, though not getting much in france because of his accent and assumptions. Darryl would be next and probably met on the next 'mission' so to speak, where they're delivering the Vetruvian to the Isle of Skye for his brother. His brother shows up in some other ship, made in Seoul, Cray's with him and I think it might be interesting if Darryl was on that ship but unaware of what Alder Thorn was involved in and Cray tore a pipe down with his magnetic powers and blasted him with steam. Obviously just a rough idea.

Uhh Red and Red also desert Alders ship at this point. Aaron drops them off at Cratre City to attend some event at the New Library of Alexandria and ends up returning with Aurélia. Then they go to Seoul, get weapons, Alder shows up again. Runs away, investigate more about walking, tool using cats in Kyoto. They probably got failed there, since that's largely an organized slave trade in small cat people, not set in stone either. Then Nicole joins up around Hiroshima while they're planning the regroup, and then they go to hawaii to take out the pirates moving the cats. That's the fight they were in before they jumped to Titan City... In theory... That's about a year worth of travel and events with a steamship that tops around 160 MPH? It cruises most comfortably at 60-80, the higher speeds are kind of scary.

Thoughts? Sorry for TL;DR, and obviously not dictating just suggesting the vague course of events, cept the Aurélia thing, Sol and I discussed it first previously, just thought I'd bring it up in here too.
