At the behest of my friends, I bought Overwatch over the summer and have been playing it with them. Recently, Activision decided to give people laying Overwatch a free copy of Destiny 2 for some reason. So I installed that and played through the tutorial last night.
My thoughts:
1. Scenery graphics are really good.
2. Tutorial way too long.
3. Cutscene transitions in the spaceship seem to take forever. I mean I get that the computer has to change environments to the new map, but it's like "You're in space now, please wait" followed by "okay, now you're in high-altitude airplane mode over the planet, please continue to wait..... aaaaaaaand done, plane lands." Good time to go get a beverage I guess.
4. Tutorial actually kind of hard, given that they don't visually show you where to go in a good way, and some environments can be negotiated, others you die if you jump down off the cliff, etc. At one point I had to "shoot all 3 exhaust ports" but had no idea where they were and ran out of ammor shooting at everything else.
5. I only made one characrter so far, but I'm told all classes are very similar and use the same main guns etc., but they get different "ult" abilities. I mean, if you only have 3 classes, can't they be a little more different than that?
6. Navigating and managing gear can be kind of dumb. When you're out in the field doing stuff and shooting badguys, you can equip a gun by left-clicking on it. In "The Farm" left clicking on a gun causes you to place it in "Inventory". But when talking to the one contact in the Farm, you can equip with left click. It's just clunky.
7. And now my main complaint: I started as a dude wearing red and white stormtrooper armor. Since then I've upgraded armor pieces like twice and still can't change the color of any of it. My favorite color is green. Is there a way to make my armor green? If so, please tell me, because I can't find it. I'm running around Trostland in the EDZ trying to shoot up aliens and stuff, but I wish I looked cooler. I picked a green color motif for my face (which is the only thing you can customize at character creation) but the helmets I get obscure even that most of the time. And not all of the cutscenes even use my toon. Sometomes they just use the generic faceless full helmet wearing Titan starter model in the red and white stormtrooper armor.
In short, I want my CoT now, please.

So to your question in #7, at end game you can find 1 time use dye that is consumable and used on 1 piece of gear. Otherwise, you gotta spend money on dye packs.
To anyone who tries Destiny 2 my response is the same, Warframe exists. Warframe is free. Warframe is constantly praised with having one of the most 'fair' cash shops for a free game.
Well, as much as I agree with you, this is more General discussion than Suggestions.
An infinite number of tries doesn't mean that any one of those tries will succeed. I could flip an infinite number of pennies an infinite number of times and, barring genuine randomness, they will never come up "Waffles".
I agree, although maybe by saying "[I]I want my CoT now, please[/I]" it was the suggestion that they should release the Character Creator early fall instead of late fall 2018.

I suggest that MWM try to avoid the bad things I said in the OP and do the good things. I sort of implied that in the OP, or so I thought.

I played Destiny 2 when it came out. The graphics are nice but I found the forced teaming awkward and the mission structure confusing. The game-play was also very non-intuitive. It would seem that you would have to have some experience in Destiny mechanics to be able to hit the ground running in Destiny 2. That's my two cents.
Ah Destiny, perhaps the most profitable superhero multi-player online game of all-time. When you disguise your superheroes behind 1st person shooting, superhero online titles suddenly become popular.
I like Destiny, but prefer more customization of online superhero titles such as CO or CoH.

I think I own Destiny 2... yup, I do... never played it. My pre-order did net me one of my most comfortable T-shirts ever, so there's that.
As mentioned previously, Warframe is shooty ninjas in space and it's free. Plus, they're about to drop another batch of content. I recently returned back to Warframe after like five years and was very pleasantly surprised at how much there is to do. They really added on to the story, which was another plus.
