Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

How does level of activity in forum feel?

For me, it feels like the level of activity has increased over the past two months.

It makes me feel optimistic to see the people talking and the devs reacting to our questions. Debate seems to be healthy and ongoing.

How do you guys feel about this? Are you seeing the same?

It's a hard call. Certainly

It's a hard call. Certainly there's less activity than at a similar time for CoH, but the internet is a different animal compared to then too. I'm no expert but the upswing in social media has made a difference that I notice. The quick version is that the CoT forums are being used more exclusively for CoT related things. Or put another way there's less traffic but it's far more focused.

My frame of references are the respective SG forums. With the pre beta forums of CoH several SGs had at least 3-4 posts daily. Which is because we had no other real way to contact each other. At least not without giving up anonymity.

Nowadays we have facebook and the CoT SG forums can go weeks without a post.

Also worth considering as context is that CoT doesn't have to invent the wheel in the same way CoH did. So we have more idea of what to expect given that we seem to have a high level of trust in our Devs. This also lends itself to less fan chatter.

Hope that made the sense written down that it did in my head.

What makes me optimistic is

What makes me optimistic is less the quantity, but the quality. Even when it gets passionate I see only discussion, no flame wars. And there are some very good ideas around.

I'll agree with this as well. For the most part I see a good community coming along. I am hoping this lasts well into launch and thereafter (although MMOs always experience a flux of players then a drop of em).

It's a breathe of fresh air compared to pretty much every other MMO's forums out there. Wildstar's was the most recent one I saw get toxified by idiotic asshole trolls who ruined it for everyone (including the people who actually presented some issues or concerns they had with the game in a mature manner)

I'm not so sure any more that

I'm not so sure any more that a super busy pre-release forum is a good thing. The last few games I've gotten really excited about based on forum participation have all bombed badly.

Playing the forum and playing the game takes two different kinds of strategy, I suppose.

Quite true, Greyhawk. But

Quite true, Greyhawk. But there's a difference between games where the basic foundational notion is Every Man For Himself and a community like the one we're trying to restore, in which the watchwords are Come With Me If You Want To Have Fun.

Well the activity here feels

Well the activity here feels a little lighter than I expected (as someone who just got here ) but the devs aren't cheating, so there's less forum activity than I'd think there should be.

This game isn't even on MMORPG.com. You have to know what's happening to find your way here.

THey don't post fake game art or mockups to get people to show up - no brilliant renders of Anthem by amazing portrait artists who don't actually do anything in this game. The 2D art appears to be done for the most part by people who are more excellent in 3D renders, and are spending their time there accordingly.

The first and second passes of the city layout mockups look better than most finished games, but the devs aren't trying to publicize them. I'd be really curious to hear from the marketing folks on when they plan a push for this game across different media outlets. I'm guessing it'll be when they drop the character generator on us and can show fully-realized game characters in the lovely test environments (instead of Odo). They'll have a few beautiful minutes of footage, slap it on Youtube, post it to MMORPG and the like, and then watch the forum hits roll in.

Because something like Valiance Online can't really hold a candle to what they're doing here graphics-wise. It's nice, but it's not this. The behind-the-scenes stuff is what really matters, and I'm hopeful that all the rigorous work on systems and codes can keep pace with the pretty graphics. I like the elaborate thought that seems to have gone into all the systems conversations anytime I read a dev comment on em.

But pretty graphics get hits and attention. When those are released, more people will show up. And I assume the team wants to have some hard facts and systems to lay out when that happens. Coordination is key - first impressions matter.

Flim-flam artist, occasional author and reknowned altoholic.

I would say activity in the forum would not a good base to judge to much. I was reading these forums long before I was actually a part of them. It is good to see activity in he forums for a game that really only has kickstarter and little mentions here and there but ultimately the forums are only a glimpse of what could and will be out there.
