I was having a similar problem.
I sent a message to Lin Chiao Feng telling them of the problem. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.
I also had this problem ages back now when I tried to comment on the Teen Superhero Team thread. These things happen I guess :V

testing to see if I can reply to this one.
Edit, yep.

Yeah, I've been getting random 404s. I wonder if something is wrong with the server?
I had a brief spate of 404s but it's cleared up, now.

The only 404 I get atm (haven't checked that much) is when going back to General Discussion from the double-posted threads in there.
same here

It should be fixed now.
Or so I'm told.

apart from the double threads everything else seems to work

I fixed the first of those. The PITA is I have to fix these things by hand.
Basically, every now and then someone posts a thread that our Dumb Little Spam Filter thinks is spam. And when it thinks something is spam, it does things to frustrate the spammer. 404s for things that seem like they should work, like replies, is one of those things.
So when a thread isn't spam, but gets tagged by this thing, it does stupid stuff.
In any case, PM me the URL and I'll fix it. Unfortunately, I don't get auto-notified by the site. The site doesn't know what a false positive is, and I don't want to get my inbox flooded with notifications about spam page attempts. I get enough of those from Fail2Ban thwapping bots from everywhere in the world trying to hack our SSH and HTTPS servers, thinking we're some badly-configured IoT device.
If you want to see if it got caught in the filter without waiting for me to fix it, go to the page for the thread and try to click one of the breadcrumb links or one of the nav bar links that leads to this site (i.e. not "Merchandise"). If you get a big 404, then it might be in the filter. From the 404 page, select the address in the address bar, and hit Enter or Return. Don't hit reload; that won't work. If the Site gives you the proper page for what you clicked, then that page got caught in the filter.
Those of you who know the basics of web servers can probably figure out what we're doing from that description. Yes, it's simple. Yes, it's dumb. And yes, it blocks a lot of spam despite its simplicity and stupidity.
Has anyone seen my mind? It was right here...
