Guild Leader Management

Okay. So I haven't played ToR for about a month or so but i haven't broken subscription. So I'm still a paying member even when not playing. I log on and found that I had been removed from Guild Leader status. Turns out the system will automatically demote the guild leader if they haven't logged on for at least a month. And it automatically promotes the next highest ranking subscriber in the guild. Now although I can understand the system cause of times when the guilder leader vanishes and is never heard from again so now no one has access to anything. I think there should be a much better way of handling this. For starters one thing I don't like is that ToR only allows one guild leader. Lot of games I come from allowed for multiple leaders/owners. So I'm hoping that CoT will allow for multiple people to be in full charge.

So at the least. The guild should allow to have an actual owner of the guild. The person that initiated the creation of the guild. They have full control. This person can own the guild forever. And never lose their status because they never logged on for certain time limit or something. They own it. That's it. And they can always promote someone to be an owner with them.

Now assuming CoT has a charter that must be done before the guild can be created. The Owner will has to assign at least one Guild leader/2nd in command. The only thing this person can not do is change the name of the guild. and can not disband the guild. And they cant demote or remove the owner.

In addition to the default ranks. Allow for the ability to create and delete ranks. And allow for the Bosses to be able to select what those ranks have access to. Chat, bank, kick, promote/demote below rank, and yada yada.

Guilds, super groups, etc.

Guilds, super groups, etc. don't have owners, they have founders. There is a big difference. As soon as you invite someone into the group who is not an alt of yours you no longer "own" it. If anything, it is a partnership with the other members of the guild. If as a founder you disappear from the game after a given amount of time you should be knocked out of the top spot. Now, I am for designating who the leadership should go to in case this happens instead of it just going to the next random guy on the list, that would be a nice feature to add.
