It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Gimmicky Villains We'd Like To See

I had an awesome Idea for a villain that has just got to be used one day.
She'll have to wait until we're absolutely certain that the game is running smoothly and lag is a thing of the past.
She looks like a witch and her powers manipulate time.
Just being in her aura causes all of your perceptions and actions to be delayed by half a second.
When she attacks you you freeze for a second (in addition to damage).

Most people will find her kind of annoying but old timers will get the joke because her name will be THE LAG HAG

Post your ideas for Gimmicky villains here.

The main thing you'd need for the Lag Hag to work is that there'd have to be a way for her to generate the classically annoying "rubberbanding" effect. Maybe the Devs could find a way to make her body act as if there were like 100+ NPCs all tightly packed into a tiny space all firing off multiple graphically intensive auras/powers all at the same time. Maybe her "body" could actually be a dark swirling cloud where all the invisible "lag NPCs" were packed together to create an area of general lagginess.

As far a coming up with my own gimmicky villain I'd have think there's got to be a way to make a Kim Kardashian parody. Maybe she could be some kind of Dominator with Confuse powers (which would explain why we're confused about why we think she's famous in the first place). Or maybe a Trump based Mastermind...

What I really meant by

What I really meant by gimmicky villains was villains with totally unique powers. Something no player would ever have.
You can see that in Lag Hag's powers.
Not that these were bad ideas, they're funny, they're just not what I had in mind.
How about this:
I'd like to see a villain who can summon alternate versions of the heroes he fights, from different universes.

To be a tiny bit more specific wouldn't be cool if the game could auto-generate a complete Star Trek "Mirror, Mirror" version of your character that you had to fight. Here are some quick pics of the classic episode:

It would be interesting to see what the game would think your "evil twin" would look like.

I've stated my opinion before

I've stated my opinion before but will restate it.. I don't like "Gimmicks". Humor has a place and EVERYthing doesn't have to be serious. When writers use too much humor without substance I find it a reflection of their personal insecurity tackling more substantive subject matter.

I'm actually willing to give Paladin the benefit of the doubt here. If the word "gimmicky" is giving you problems you can just drop it and replace it with the other word Paladin used - "unique". I'd agree that I don't need all the CoT villains to be "jokey/humorous" but if you just assume Paladin meant that he wants to see unique villains with unique powersets then I'd have to agree with him on that.

My Other Selves did this as a Villain Morality Mission (kinda). It was also one of the examples of Epic Awesome™ that I pointed out to the Devs at the last Player Summit simply because of the PROMISE that the Mission made (without ever needing to "live up to it" in any way).

The very existence of the taunting tank irritates, for it requires idiotic AI that obeys the taunt.
