Greetings,
Just joined the forums after discovering you guys over Kickstarter and I really do hope that you guys can bring this project to life. As being a big fan of City of Heroes/Villains my friends and I had a lot of fun making villains and causing as much mayhem in the city as we possibly could. :D Now possibly getting the chance to reclaim those memories .. You guys have my support! Aside from that, I have a few questions that I would like to ask before I log for the night.
1) Will this be using the Unreal Engine 3 or 4? I've heard mixed answers on this. So, would like to know what engine they have confirmed for this. Also, if 4.. Is there any videos or games that are out right now that use this? Would like to see what the graphics may look like.
2) From a player who loves to PvP.. Will there be any PvP battlegrounds? Or arena style combat like in Wow? 2v2, 3v3 etc?
3) Will you guys have a cinematic for this?
Thank you all for your time, and have yourselves a good night.
1) MWM was going to use Unreal 3 but then Epic came in and was all, "Hey, want to use UE4 and help us test it?" and MWM was all, "Sure!" and so here we are. There are games out that use UE4. "Project HON" has some fairly impressive footage, although that's still in development. 'course UE4 is also still in development, which can throw up some interesting wrinkles.
2) Yes to PvP. Details pending. Items like battlegrounds and arenas may not be available, or not available at launch, or there may only be one or two maps.
3) Yes. Probably. Partly depends on what "this" is.

I got a copy of Daylight when I bought my last graphics card.
It uses UE4 and looks really amazing.
By "really amazing", I mean gives me the Creeping Wheebies. It's very atmospheric.
