scenario. You are just the average Joe or Jane in a fantasy world. you country is built on the ruins of several older civilizations that believed they could "Take it with them." the rich were buried in elaborate hidden tombs full of gold, favored magic items and assorted high value treasure.
Some tombs have defensive magic and undead guardians, but most relied on traps that have deteriorated long ago (or so they say).
So whats your personality like? Would you rob/loot a tomb? Or would you stay away and let others grab the gold?

If I was an average Joe/Jane then no. As likely I'd believe the place was cursed, probably due to local legends, the undead, etc.
It'd be far too dangerous to risk it, even thinking it's not cursed. Magical defenses, undead monsters, and deadly traps on top of the tombs themselves being hard to find and hard to navigate.
If I was a non-average Jane/Joe then, maybe.

The real money is in selling supplies to the graverobbers. Not on credit, though...

Sure but what makes the "Gold Digger" in Redlynne's pic funny is that based on the way she's scantily clad she's a classic depiction of a double entendre. ;)

OTOH, Gina Diggers, while she has the cash to pay up front, she is also not likely to fall for scams like the anti-cheetah charms. "Do you see any cheetahs around here?" "Let me ask my sister's opinion. Oh, Brittany!"

That's Brittany to Gina's left (viewer's right). ^_^

The question needs to be asked.
When does it stop being grave robbing and start being archeology?
"Let the past die. Kill it if you have to."
When you know where the bodies are buried.

Of course I would. Everyone loves spare parts. I'd just make sure the graves I'd rob are the ones I caused. Assuming I wasn't an average person.
If I was, I'd promptly relocate to less... memorable.. locations.
It is only when we stand up, with all our failings and sufferings, and try to support others rather than withdraw into ourselves, that we can fully live the life of community.

Ohh, that reminds me. Antarctic Press has released some years back a lot (most? all?) of their Gold Digger comics for free on a form of archives site they run.

I can't honestly say whether I would or not, cause I'm both an incredibly curious person, but also very risk averse... I'm ultimately not sure which trait would come out on top.
I suppose it might depend on how successful other people are at doing it. I mean, if there are TONS of people recovering lots of artifacts with relatively low injury/casualty rates, then yeah sure. But if the entire practice is blanketed in horror stories of bad crap happening on raids, then no. I'm not a fan of bodily injury.
Nah, I'd become a necromancer instead... and thanks to those grave robbers, I'd have an endless supply of new corpses to work with. BWAHAHAHA!!1

Is it still grave robbing if you're already dead? Seems like just petty theft at that point or a "lost and found" situation.

Well you sort of pay for your plot of land when you die. Or your family does. So the grave belongs to your estate or your family. I would say the term "grave robbing" still applies.

I'm the Material Recovery and Recycling Engineer. Just be sure to call that fellow over there - *points at necromancer-looking guy* - "Doctor".
Turns out there are graveyards in the Philippines (like in Manila IIRC) where there's so little extra space that it's pretty much expected that when you "bury" a family member there you're suppose to come back in few years and remove the remains to let someone else "use" the spot. I think they cremate the leftovers. So in essence everyone is a grave robber there if you keep your definition of "grave robbery" very vague. ;)
