Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Ship of Heroes can launch

Ship of Heroes can launch whatever they want whenever they want. I haven't seen anything from them that I'm interested in. And I've looked.

FIGHT EVIL! (or go cause trouble so the Heroes have something to do.)

If the return of CoH didn't lessen my anticipation of CoT, then how would I respond to a game whose basic plot does not excite me at all? Midichlorians? I don't think so!

I don't think anyone is trying to deceive anyone here, but even if there were perfidy afoot, it wouldn't be a false flag.

It seems important that you be right about the definition of “false flag”. I believe it suits this particular example. You appear not to. To each his own.
As for the rest of it, only time will tell. All I can say is that the time so far has told a lot.

Sorry, I've just grown used to people deliberately using strategically imprecise definitions of inflammatory terms to argue in bad faith in other contexts, and so the incorrect use of charged terms is kind of a pet peeve for me, even if it's unintentional here.

I really dont care what flag

I really dont care what flag they were waving, what matters is that this looks like a positive step. I would really like a dev to tell us that they are busy with internal testing, maybe whether this is the final step before testing or that they have more to work on. If it happens, great, if not thats ok too. I will still head off to work and wait till they are willing to start the buildup to a release. I dont expect to be in the first weeks or months of testing, I have other things I can be doing during that. I hope they have some trusted kickstarters they can turn to. While I was surprised to find that Dr Tyche is a ninja, I dont think any of them are involved in a nefarious plot. At least not about this game(one of them could be nemesis)

That’s how I meant it. In its most basic form.

Ok, I'll bite. What's the deception here and what "covert operation"?

With Ship of Heroes declaring their beta is ready and will be up in a few days, something must be done to keep CoT faithful morale up. All I am saying is Zero is not as crazy as many may think, and may be onto something.

Hindsight, they could announce testing within the upcoming days. They could also announce something which has nothing to do with player testing. We don't know for sure.

While that is true I don't feel like they have built as good a foundation as CoT appears to have done. In the beginning they had pretty good videos (by that I mean informative in gameplay capabilities) but later ones has not had as much information. Take the latest one, slots and enhancements, and we got only very basic info about it from SoH while CoT did two updates explaining all that will be in at launch of those two systems.

The impression I get from Zero is that he cares way way more about what is directly visible than how it actually functions, while me (and I think many others) care more about having solid mechanics and foundation. I'm sure none of us completely discard the "other" of those two areas.

I really don’t understand why you moderators have such a problem with a conversation going in whichever way it goes. At least we are still here and talking. I would think that matters more than having the same 5 people posting the same 5 comments each time an announcement is made.

I would really love it if they would elaborate just a bit on this teaser. If it is as close as it seems they might want to engage a bit. maybe think towards marketing, but that might be a whole different kettle of fish.

Positive and engaging conversation. Feedback that we can take back to devs and the decision makers to influence future updates.

I dont see how you can really have positive or engaging conversations with an update that has no information, context, or meaning to non-devs. I agree with your statement on a general level but not with this picture. I think it was nom-sensical to to post it as an update for those reasons above.

Why has no dev elaborated even the slightest on the meaning of the picture?

Well, hello there everyone... it's been awhile since i've jumped into the forums here!

After keeping up with this thread for the past few days, i had to log in and throw in my two cents. Not that it's much, but it immediately occurred to me that this is the first picture in a series that will lead up to the AB release. With each successive post showing the same graphic, but with the loading bar further filled in. Perhaps with teaser information in the form of MOTDs popping up at some point. I would even venture a guess at the Avatar Builder aiming for an early December release.

(But I also have to mention that i was incredibly thrilled when i first saw the post with this pic of the loading screen!)

Until after now...

Good theorey Cybin, that would be a pretty good way to drum up excitement until a launch of something, if we get another loading bar that's further along we might be able to start more accurately guessing when whatever is "loading" will be done.

I really hope CoT will be good. With the homecoming servers and various other CoH sucessors in the works I feel CoT needs to be really special to draw people in.

That honestly seems like the best explanation of what's going on here thus far.

We'll have to see if it bears out, but for now I tentatively believe it.

I like the theory but ultimately I think its wrong just because they arent giving any hints to a release date. If this were true, and they increased the % by 10 every week, that would be early December release of I0. That close they really should be making official announcements NOW to have time to get the word out to the masses...it seems foolish to me to use such a ruse to tease the upcoming release. Also, if they really dont want a repeat of last year they shouldnt be giving hints like this as to the release time frame IMO.

I don't see any need for trying to gain the attention of the masses. Because, this would be for Issue 0, which is basically an Alpha version exclusively for Kickstarter backers.

Also, i used the same method to come up with my date as well - 10% weekly. However, it wouldn't surprise me if it didn't stick to that and just reflected how much is done per week (or whatever). Of course, I could be entirely wrong and it might just be, "Hey guys. We made a loading screen. It looks cool. Later." But I suspect not.

Until after now...

Issue #0 is basically the make or break for the game. If they don't do well during the 2nd Chance, which is releasing with Issue #0, they are in deep water. So yes, they do need the masses.

Nothing to say that issue 0 and the second chance will release simultaneously. AFAIK just once issue 0 is released they'll start the second chance.

Pushing back the second chance by a month or so would give ample opportunity for the community to show off what can be done and give the devs plenty of media to show off themselves. Then after it's proven that they wont break anything by opening up the flood gates a bit more they can launch the second chance so that people, who have been tantalized by the slew of new media, will be more willing to throw down some cash to get their hands on it.

To those that are confused of this teaser, it's more or less a teaser of them showing they are close so far to publish the avatar builder and a way to let everyone know they made progress and hasn't completely stripped away from the overall project, it's a way to express their excitement too to let people know that the game is coming end of the year if not earlier.

Despite of the statements and what i've heard and read and their expression of 'Fall 2019', It's safe to say around this year the avatar builder might be released.

I think you are confusing the timeline they gave last year, which was Fall of 2018. They ran into some issues and had setbacks and they have not released any timeframe since they missed the one last year. There is nothing within this Teaser that indicates a Fall 2019 release.
