Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.
It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

I know you said emails would start going out within n two weeks, and obviously from others' subsequent posts they have. I understand why you won't be doing them all at once, to ease download and connection strain. Do you have a timeframe that you anticipate all original KS backers will have received emails (subject to change based on ongoing testing of course)?
This looks backwards, to me, but I'm not a programmer. If the folder is named "C:\Windows\System32" why am I replacing the mfc140u.dll that's already there with the 64=bit file, and why is the 32-bit file going into the WOW64 folder, presumably replacing the file that should already be there?
Also, I just looked, and the System 32 Folder DOES have a file named mfc140u.dll (no caps) and the WOW64 folder does not.

SysWow64 is the 32 bit folder.

WoW64 is short for “Windows 32 bit on Windows 64 bit”. It’s where 32 bit files go in a 64 bit operating system so that Windows has what it needs to be backward compatible with 32 bit applications. Yes the acronym sucks, you’d think it should be W32oW64 but what are you gonna do, it’s Microsoft.
System32 meanwhile is basically the core part of the Windows OS. If Windows was a car, System32 would be the powertrain. The reason why it’s called System32 is also for backwards compatibility; programs were written to look there for core components and if Microsoft renamed it then it would cause problems. Since leaving it alone did no harm that’s what they did.
So that’s why the names seem to be the opposite of what they should be.
The issue is that the data could be intercepted, the better version is hardware multi-factor authentication but that's not gonna happen in a business to customer application. I know a lot of banks are still using SMS MFA and I haven't seen any signs of them changing their methods so if it's good enough for banks ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Windows Defender is as usefull as other antivirus, if not even more ;) Just activate and customize it, it will be enought.

I've never found that to be the case. I usually recommend AVG and Malwarebytes. McAfee is kinda crummy and Norton is a PITA.

After following the advice of Dr. Tyche and Warcabbit, I can now happily report that I got the launcher to install, load, run, and patch last night, Yay!. I had to check on it after patching at like 1:45am, but it worked. Actually, after downloading the 4-hour long patch, I clicked "start" or whatever to run it and it then immediately told me it had to download the U4-necessary "Redistriutable for Visual C++ 2017" files. Sheesh. But it ran, ultimately, after much installing, patching, and rebooting. So thanks for that.

I must advise you to review your opinion ^^ i did it when i saw this test (with is not a cheap test). almost 100% on every item tested compared to other programs

or 7 weeks till they put combat in the game, or war cabbit ate 7 donuts and seven cinnamon rolls and is zooming around his back yard like a nascar racer. the cryptic meme gets old real fast, and is very easy to go places you had no intention of going.

I recommend interrupting your refresh cycle occasionally (at least once) to check that Kickstarter has your correct email address and that MWM is permitted to pass your spam filter. ^_^

Once you are signed in, how can you tell what level you donated at?
EDIT: Apparently my current Kickstarter account has no way to know that I backed this project. Hopefully Missing Worlds Media knows who I am and how to get ahold of me, but I am not 100% sure that is true.
So, step one: Find out what email you used on the account you used for CoT. Since you have a K-badge, I have hope that MWM can help you with that. Or maybe in step four.
Step two: Open the KS webpage at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/missingworldsmedia/the-phoenix-project-city-of-titans/description This should have "Campaign" highlighted on the bar that says
"[u]Campaign[/u] FAQ Updates Comments Community" This line should be visible at the bottom of your screen if you're scrolled all the way up; if you are scrolled all the way up and you don't see it, scroll down a bit.
Right below that line, to the far right, should be a column labeled "Support" with a box below that that says: "You Selected". Based on what you've said, it won't be there, so scroll up to the top right, click your account icon and sign out.
Step three: Click the Login Button where your account icon was, and then the "forgot your password" button. Enter the right email address, and good luck!
Step four: If this didn't work, then hopefully MWM has their own records, from when the KS payments were collected.

First: Thanks for the detailed and excellent advice. I greatly appreciate it.
Second: Unfortunately Step 3 can't work for me. The reason I have a new email address, different from the one I used when we all first kickstarted this was that the small company that provided my email address stopped providing that service. That email address literally doesn't exist anymore, so I can't go to that spot and retrieve information from a password reset.
Third: I believe I worked this out with MWM at some point, hence my current badge status, but I cannot remember any details. I suppose it is time for me to check that.
Ugh I sympathize. That happened to me twice. My first email address I ever had (almost 30 years ago) was through my local library. They stopped offering that, so I scrambled to get a new one, and found a free service from Apple. Apple then decided to make that a (not cheap) paid service so I had to switch again. Luckily I’ve managed to keep the same email account for 20 years now (knock on wood).
I'm not sure if I got the email or not. At this time it seems like I have not, any ETA? I know it is a slow roll out I just hope I didn't miss it since I pledged for two copies. >-<;

They said they would start sending out codes. They didn't say when they would be done. I haven't gotten one either. I presume they are sending them in waves, in part to load test the servers. And let's see what their big reveal today is.
