Yep, been a long long wait and so much hoping along the way. Now, frankly I'm just excited to have something to experience besides reading about what is coming. I've tried to stay positive so long over the years but it gets rough. Now it's so close I just can't make myself wait til morning I really jsut wanna see it finish and (fingers crossed) start up without more download issues (dll's, etc) up to 67% now a lil closer!

I know I'm in the minority here but will [i]anything[/i] be released for the Mac before launch? I'm quite late to the party, having followed the progress for only a couple months, but I became a Second Chance backer today because I read that the game would be available for the Mac. I was quite dismayed when I discovered the launcher was Windows only...
Well at 49% and I am off to bed, it appears I shall tinker in the morn, Vikings won (SKOL) and it is a good night, and so to you all, I wish YOU, a good night (or day if you are far away)! Cheers to a great new day for this game and community

As I understand it (and I could be wrong), the system isn't in place yet to generate separate codes- right now we're tying a download to an account, to be able to get something out to you guys. Once codes are ready, anyone that's paid for Dynamic Duo will get a second code delivered to them on their account page.

Okay,I created a new account for the store but I don't have the option to get claim my tier reward from the first KS years ago. It just gives me options up to $750,and my original bid was at $250.

Upgraded my pledge tier, was under a rather aggressive financial embargo back during the original kickstarter and, well, things aren't much better today but doing what I can :)

Hmm, if I raise my router above my PC, will the bits download faster, since they would be flowing "down hill"? ;)
Eeesh, started around 11 hours ago last night, still at 64%. Maybe when I get back from work it'll have finished.

Fell asleep about 10:30ish last night at 81% woke up around 3ish to the sound of the avatar builder completely downloaded and installed, awaiting its first use! Like an early morning Christmas!

I am not certain, but I think the "download" total is for the specific file you are currently downloading, while the "sync" number is for *all* files that you need to download and install. As for why the download number is over 100%, maybe that file turned out to be larger than the installer expected?

I had my modem loose power and it started the download back up where it was.

I know this is slow by modern standards but... I remember playing a c64 game so much that the 1541 drive ring wore a hole through the floppy disc, hadda send away for a replacement and it took "please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery" before I got back to gaming.
Don't wanna go back to the stone age, don't get me wrong :)
Let that thing run all night and last night and it's still only 71% there.

I got the download but when I try to launch,says I'm missing mfc140u.dll and try reinstalling,then second error pop up says missing VCRUNTIME140.dll missing as well. Not sure what else do,reinstalled and downloaded the builder but nothing changes. I don't use antivirus scanners either.
Oh good, say 31 new and thought some disaster happened :p Hopefully a server upgrade is coming out.
Yeah the file % seems to be off, but as long as the "sync" looks right, I wouldn't worry.

I had the same issue, downloaded vc_redist.x86 from Microsoft, everything was fine after that.

I don't know why, but I'm kind of relieved that the apparent slow download isn't just me. Heh.
Left it running last night and alll day, just got back from work and still only at 28% sync but at 176% in the "fetching" line. I am on a hotel wifi which is notorious for being really slow. Still showing it is downloading, so off to the gym. I will try tomorrow when I get home if I have no luck today.

Edit: Feedback on the launcher: It could use a "minimize" button so I can get it out of the way while it's downloading. :)
I started the download at 3pm yesterday (its now midday today where I am) and left it all night and its at 75%. I came here to be all 'er, what's up?' but I see from previous posts its normal lol.
As others have said, a few more hours won't kill me after the years of waiting :)

My loader stopped several times. I have had to cancel and restart several times. I am at 29% or 183% depending on which of the two numbers you read.

The Kickstarter link didn't work for me. Just has the Second Chance campaign page, I don't see any Backer Level buttons or anything asking me to link my Kickstarter access up.

Is this the thread we should be using to discuss any issues and/or suggestions for the character creator?
Like words spelled wrong (demin, instead of denim), things we would like in Patterns/Details (like a smiley face for heads or pinstriped shirt/pants), or asking why that one pair of pants acts like clown pants with that super wide waist?
Or is this more for "I finally got in! Check out what I made!"
(I'd give an example, but after a few hours yesterday, i'm about half way done with my first character.)

Two quick questions: 1) Does the game automatically use your store account login and password as your game login and password, or do you have to make a separate game account? 2) can you load the game on to two different computers (I want it on my laptop and desktop) and, if so, can you do it on one while the other is still downloading?

We don't have a subscription setup currently, but you should be able to upgrade later. For now, get the tier that fits best, then when upgrades are setup, go for more.

The amount of options in the costume creator is a bit overwhelming at first. Sort of feeling my way around in here. At the moment, the most confusing thing for me is the way the color selection works. Trying to wrap my head around that.
Speaking of heads, I managed to give myself a pumpkin head, but now I can't figure out how I did that...
Running around on the map was interesting. But when I loaded to the map, I entered with the default costume instead of the one I'd built. Not sure if that's something I goofed up on my end. This was cool, though.
