I'm still love to see an option to go ahead and start paying a monthly fee for CoT. Think it'd be awesome if the game launched in a year and the early supporters already had 12 month veteran badges :)
1) Thank you for including the FAQ about the actual game in the update :). I personally appreciate it, and it helps to keep the type misunderstandings that happened with last update down--at least a bit. Though of course they'll still happen (and are, but c'est la vie :/).
2) I agree, but the more I think about it, this is probably better. It allows us to support not only MWM directly to support the game, but also creates a potential alternate way of getting attention for the game. Pretty win/win-ish.

I find this week's update really encouraging. First of all, I like the professional (literally and aesthetically) quality of the Hijinx comic. I've seen AAA comics from the Big Guys that are not as high quality as this. That, combined with the chance to back MWM a bit more, make this an easy thing for me to get behind financially. Ah, I found the problem. Patreon.com is routing its searches through another domain "algolia.io". My browser blocks tunnels like that by default (it's a common vector of web hijacks). I manually unblocked it and search for "hijinx" works as expected.
So, it's patreon.com's problem, not yours. Might want to mention to them they're using suspicious-looking calls on their website.

Anyone else having trouble logging into the Patreon site this morning?
I put in my login details correctly (I triple-checked) but it said they were wrong, so I clicked the Forgot Password button (even though I hadn't forgotten it) and it sends me an email with a link that's supposed to take me to a page where I can change my password, but the page it links to is the one I was just on, where it asks for my email address so it can send me a link to change my password....endless loop. :-(
I can't find a way to contact support; there's just a FAQ that doesn't A my Q.

Ah! Down towards the bottom of the page, there's a button labeled "Help Center". Clicking it leads to a page with a search window. I type in "log in problems" and get a few results, I select one at random... and there at the bottom of the answer is a button to Submit A Request. Sending a question does not apparently require a Patreon account.
How long it takes for them to respond to your request is left as an exercise for the student. ^_^
Update: A form letter response arrived within minutes; but that wouldn't necessarily reflect the time for actual help to be sent.

Yeah I really hope super-muscular is an option for female toons; I always found it dumb that I couldn't have a Huge female. Not that I'd likely use it, but I wanted it because it wasn't there :p

BTW, if anyone else added up the amounts pledged and got (for example, from the last time I checked) $312 when the top of the page says $301, that's because the top is showing (https://patreon.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/206197906) what the creator gets after Patreon deducts transaction fees and their 5% cut and declined pledges.

Actually the suggestion to have a "huge female" body model or at least "muscular" females was one of the top suggestions on the old CoH forums. It came up practically every few weeks for years there.
As far as I knew the ability to make a bulky/muscular female body was already something we were going to get in CoT. As least the "idea" of having a big female doesn't seem like brand new "news" to me here. If that's all they're talking about in this new FAQ then I'd almost consider it anti-climactic.
I'm actually hoping for something that would be truly revolutionary that "no other game has ever done" for female characters like let them wear ANY costume item regardless if it was originally intended for males or females. CoH came close to that goal but it still had a handful of items that were "male only" or "female only". Ideally all costume items in CoT should be 100% gender neutral so that any character could effectively wear anything they wanted.

Well I don't know if they've ever Officially Announced (TM) that they were including that - I think that was always on the "nice to have" list.
Come to think of it - there HAVE been muscular female body types in games before (for instance, Zarya in Overwatch) - and you can get some jacked women in Dragon's Dogma (though there are some slight clipping and body frame issues).
Indeed - if they were going to turn the restrictions off for one it should be much more simple to just have no restrictions at all (barring any potential technical difficulties of course - I know the avatar builder is supposed to be extremely flexible but you never know).
It will be interesting to see what this feature is.
Consider the following: We all know that CoH required a separate "standard male" body and a "huge male" body to account for the full range of male body types. Now in CoT we will no longer have that limitation - the single CoT male body will supposedly support the full range of small to large male body sizes.
So to carry that logic to its conclusion we will have only two main body types in CoT: male and female. If the CoT male body can account for every size from "standard" to "huge" why wouldn't the CoT female model also handle any body range from "standard" to "huge"? Why would it need to be a newsworthy "special" additional feature of the female model and not something that simply got provided by design default?
Remember the main reason we didn't have a "huge female" body model in CoH was that it would have been a fourth completely separate body model that would have had to have its own animations and costume items. It was hard enough for the CoH Devs to manage three body models to worry about adding a fourth. Now that CoT is only dealing with two main models everything relating to them will be easier.
Most of the time when the CoH Devs gave us a "male-only" or "female-only" costume item it was only that way because it would have taken a lot of extra effort to make a completely unique non-clipping version of the item for the other sex. Those limitations were based on how the body models and costume items worked under 2004 era software technology.
Now with UE4 and other 2016+ technologies the ability to "fit" a costume item over two different models (male and/or female) has become much easier/automated. There may still ultimately be a small handful of items that'll end up being "one gender only" but that handful should be very tiny in CoT.

(and because not everyone recognizes satire when they see it, this one was an attempt at poking fun at ourselves (gamers collectively) for our prurient interest in maximizing fanservice)

Ha ha. Yeah - that's a little out there - maybe for something like Second Life, but for CoT I really wouldn't place any money on it.
Besides - why wait 9 months to generate a new character? Just log out and roll a new one ;^p.
One person's "fanservice" is another person's "I must have feature X or I will not be able to realize my total character concept and the world will come to an end!!!!"

I'm reasonably sure (like 90% sure) there have been a few other MOOs that have allowed for "pregnant" characters. The UE4 technology being used by this game would make it relatively easy to do for CoT if the Devs ever decided to implement it.
Doing "baby bumps" as some kind of post-launch cash shop costume item seems completely reasonable. Trust me when I say there would be enough roleplayers out there who'd buy this for their characters given how many weddings I saw in CoH. If people are going to RP weddings why wouldn't they also want to RP pregnancies? ;)

Don't get too excited, folks. The huge female, we already promised you, and this is more of a technical thing that should make people happy, quietly, rather than OH WOW. It's about respect and dignity more than anything.

The comic is an entertaining bonus. I don't follow superhero comics, so the style isn't my thing, really -- but the character seems to be off to a good(?) start.

I understand there was a bug recently that caused some users to lose a lot of subscriptions. One artist I follow on DA lost about 3/4 of his subscribers.
