Devmas 2016: Let It Snow: (Tech, Christmas, Videos, Surprise!)

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and all other appropriate Solstice-centered greetings to one and all, from all of us at Missing Worlds Media and City of Titans to all of you.

We thought we’d take a break from perfecting the character creator to show off some of our environment work - that’s right, you all asked for it, it’s snowing - and look over by the snowman - it builds up on the ground - and some of our animation work.

The clouds move, the sun arcs, and the lights twinkle. It’s the least we can do for you standing by us for so long.

I’d like to point out that the jolly old portly elf there is the same player model you saw last week shooting at a car, with a figure like a professional wrestler. When we said we were making the most flexible and powerful character creator of all time - well, we meant it.

Exciting things are happening behind the scenes, and pretty soon they’ll be something good enough to show you directly.

Of course, we need to make sure it doesn’t look like this when we do.

The performance with 200 physics objects in the scene is pretty good, though.

Until then, if you get coal in your stocking send it to us, cause we’ve been burning the midnight oil and we need more fuel.

Merry Devmas to One and All, and to All a Good Night.

(PS: Watch out for the Tannenbomb!)
