these things happen to every hero. The bad guys get away and the story continues. I'm not asking for a novel, just a quick description of what happened. This is not roll play, just a quick creative exercise.

When she first started Hero work, she had a very girly moment. BF was chasing Killer Croc when he jumped into the sewer. Pursuing on foot, she slowed down noticing the walls and ceiling were moving. They were crawling with cockroaches! Croc noticed as well and slammed the wall with a fist. A rain of roaches fell on Falcon! She opened her mouth to scream and one fell in. Spitting it out she fled the sewers and dove into the river. It took her an hour to get the roaches out of her hair and feathers.
Croc got clean away...and Black Falcon did not eat for a week!

Whilst this wasn't my main, I had a fire/fire blaster and I had taken to patrolling Bloody Bay. I saw a villain and obviously moved in to immolate him in the name of justice, however he was rather friendly, which sort of doused my flame. So, we sat down and had a little conversation, just chatting about whatever.
There was another villain that came in and ruined it, though, although he was simple to defeat. He came again.. and again. And again. We moved locations, but he always managed to find us. Whilst he was attempting to fruitlessly defeat me once again, my "friend" moved besides me.. and delivered a jab to the abdomen. He was the one giving our location to this pest in the hope of an easy kill!
I went down. Bloody villains. *shakes fist*

Instead of tricking people in Bloody Bay we used to confuse them with our badge hunting efforts... via the Confuse power. Let me explain...
There was a time in CoH (for at least a couple of years) where the only way a bluesider (hero) could earn the [url=https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Reformed_Badge]Reformed badge[/url] (for defeating 1,000 Longbow NPCs) was by being Confused by a villain PC in a PvP zone so that you could target and kill "allied" critters. Basically this meant the most straightforward way to do this was to take your hero character and go to a place in Bloody Bay with a "friendly" villain player who was willing to spam Confuse powers on you so that you could run off for a few seconds to kill as many Longbow as you could. This was an incredibly tedious process, especially considering that at 1,000 defeats needed the Reformed badge was one of the highest "number of kills needed to earn" Defeat badges in the game.
So imagine the surprise to your average slack-jawed PvPer when they ran across a pair of us working this maneuver. They'd see the villain confuse the hero but then not bother to try to kill the hero. We had all sorts of people gawk at us in (I suppose) disbelief that we were actually helping each other badge farm rather than actually "fighting" each other. It was hilarious. ;)

I was once talking to a hero named Arcade as we hovered over the city in Skyway all of a sudden he drops out of the sky and falls to an untimely ... unconsciousness. "Did you forget to switch to hover?" I ask. "Yup." was the reply.
