Customizing or changing the character selection screen?

(I didn't know if they still checked cohtitan.com so I copied it and brought it here, hope you don't mind! :D)

This idea just came to me a minute ago, I thought it would be cool if possible.

You remember the old character select screen, click your character and see their costume, rotate them. Would it be possible to change that? Maybe say instead of having your character standing still you could have them do something else like playing pool, texting, leaning against a wall, playing hacky sack, showing off their powers. (Where my idea came from partially. There may be more games out there like these selection screens, but these are the two I knew of.)

1080 Snowboarding - Nintendo 64 (Near the start of the video during the character selection.)

Max Anarchy / Anarchy Reigns - PS3 and Xbox 360 (Pretty much the whole video[Forgive the slightly suggestive themes.].)

You could have a room filled with your characters you have made doing different things, even interacting with one another. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who made a villain to go up against their hero who would like to see a brawl between them, or even a friend's hero or villain against a yours! Maybe not even a fight! Perhaps a card game? or a dance off?

Earlier I said my idea partially came from the videos above, the other part came from the podcast that plus10damage did with Missing Worlds Media. The part Steve asked if they had "..tossed around any idea of bases, like building your own bases or vehicles?" They talked about the Base builder and Avatar builder they're working on, So I started thinking it would be even more neat if I could make an area of my own, where all my characters could be, like a nightclub, a park, or maybe if they made presets like outside city hall! The possibilities are endless.

"..a lovely browse-able transcript.." of the plus10damage Podcast with Missing Worlds Media.

I think it would be a fun idea to put into the game but making it optional to the user, for those who don't mind having a normal selection screen and just want to start, get in, and play. This is just a thought I had. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or something like this already, but if they had, I'd support it. :-D

Interesting. Not sure if this will make it in intially though, but maybe somewhere down the line.
Now that you mention it, I always wanted to see more Detailed info about the charcter i just selected in the Charcter Selection screen. i dont know.. maybe, Biography, Primary powerset, Secondary powerset, Defense Stats, that sort of thing... And possibly see the Alternate Costumes. ;D

The more time spent at

The more time spent at character selection screen means the less time players are in the game's map server.

For that reason I don't really support this idea.
