Hovering many miles above the earth, the Justice League satalite, and on the main conference room sat Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Shazam, and Cyborg. Nearby stood the President of the USA, as well as one of his generals and a police commisioner.
Into the room walked Batman. He strode over to the table and pressed a few buttons, locking the doors behind him. He then took out a small electronic device from his belt and scanned the room for a few seconds, before finally saying "we are secure".
"What is this all about ", urged Superman. Kal-El was holding his left arm in a sling, everyone knew he had been humilated in batle just a day before, and he would rather be recouperating.
Batman glanced at Supermans recentently broken arm, and mentioned one word.
"Criminus".
Superman flushed red, everyone pretended not to notice.
Batman looked over to the president and his 2 aides and said "this can not leave this room", before turning to the main computer view screen, which half covered one entire wall.
"Computer, display the dates for all crimes that are known to have been planned by Criminus".
With this, the string of dates flooded the screen.
"As you all know, Criminus does not seek out villains to work with, they go to him, they ask him advice on how to execute their crimes. Criminus spends a few days in research, before giving those criminals 'perfect' plans".
"Yes we know" answered the police commisioner, "we got this much from those we luckily captured"
"Quite", said batman, before continuing.
"Computer, sort this dates, left side for all that succeeded, and right side for all that did not succeed". In a moment, the dates rearranged themselves on the screen.
"Now watch this", said Batman, turning to his peers for but a moment.
"Computer, color all the dates in red, where the target of the crime is a front for, or part of, a criminal organisation"
With this, the entire left side of the screen turned red.
Gasps could be heard around the room, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman both stood up in shock, while The flash just said "Well I'll be...".
"But this cant be, it just, no, do you know what this means". Superman was obviously in shock.
"I means that Criminus is a hero, it means the worlds most wanted, number one threat, has put more bad guys in jail than all of us put together, it means the foiled plans and annonymous tip offs, where from him".
Superman visably deflated.
Batman quickly continued "When you fought him, you felt your powers waning, because Criminus is powered by Alpha Orionis, a red giant star, his power is essentially, irresistable force. Dont you see, he cant work as a hero, he breaks just about everything, and everyone, he touches. His power is not infinite, of course, and it is not the same as super strength, he could not throw an object further than a normal man, but he could throw a planet, his strength could not be stopped."
"You said it yourself Supes", chipped in Cyborg, "you where surrounded by villains, Criminus threatened to kill you, then simply snapped your arm, I'm guessing that having satisfied the other villains, they left, and then he, Criminus I mean, teleported you to a hospital. thats where you woke up, right?"
"Your saying, he broke my arm to save my life".
"yes".
"Damn". Superman sat down.
"But we can take him off the most wanted lists", said the President.
"No, you cant" said batman, "he's in deep and surrounded by super villains, some my have mental powers he cant counter, some could be nulifiers, and maybe enough of them ganging up on him at once, could bring him down. We dont know the limits of his power".
"So what do we do", said Shazam.
"We do nothing" , said batman, "but give him a wide berth"

Millions of years ago, the star, Alpha Orionis, commonly known to humans as Betelgeuse, became sentient. For millions of years it watched the universe.
Eventually it came to realise that it was nearing death, and despairing of its end, it searchd the universe for beings that shared its personality. They had to have a strong belief in justice and truth, they had to have arcane knowledge, and be willing to fight for the rights of others. Alpha Orionis picked one person from each species it found, and imbued each of them with a portion of its sentience and power.
And thus was born the Red Star League.
Each member of the League has great power, power that is arcane in nature, and born of the red star. Each can generate and project kinetic energy as a physical (not mental) action, which they use for great defences, flight, kinetic blasts, etc. They also enjoy internal life support, being able to survive in any environment.
(In game terms, members of the Red Star League have defence/assault or ranged/defence, based on kinetic energy).
However, there was another side of Betelgeuse's personality, while still holding Justice and Truth paramount, this darkside of the star was grim and relentless. It too searched for a recipient of its power. Its found one match, one man, and gifted itself upon him.
And thus Jason Leigh became Criminus.
His power is of internal life support, and irresistable force. His strength and endurance is not enhanced, its just that he encounters no resistance. He can not punch any harder than a normal man, but nothing can stop the movement of his fist, he could not throw a rock further than average, but he could throw a truck the same distance.
On the downside, he tends to break anything and anyone he comes into contact with. Imagine being hugged by somebody who does not register the resistance of your ribs?
Imagine if he tried to use a sword, the first time the blade hit armor, the blade would shear from the hilt as his hand kept moving, but the blade was stopped.
(In game terms, the closest way to mimic this was Super strength with Willpower defence. With a tertiary, he may gain some of the kenetic projection of the Red Star League).
