You have found a Power Stone. Its a fist size chunk of colored gemstone that grants you super powers
The only supers in the words are people with such stones, so you will need a secret ID just to keep from being killed for it.
The challenge, make a hero with a stone. To be super it must be in your possession, so you will have to say how you are keeping it (on an amulet, embedded in you clothes or armor, sewn into your body, on a staff, etc). You do not need to make a full detailed write up, just list your name, powers, and how you keep the stone (and the color as well).
For example, Talos found a large green stone. he can summon two giant gauntlets (they reflect his stone). The gauntlets have super strength and can operate at range. The stone also grants him serious body armor (like Solid Form here in COT terms). Talos is a brute, not a tank. (gladiator with rage options))
He keeps his stone sewn into his leather jacket and it has a back up chain under his shirt and around his neck. He just never takes off his jacket.

OK so what does your power stone do?

Once a Famous Fire Eater, El Fuego's carnival was struck by a meteorite carrying a powerstone that managed to be lodged in El Fuego's chest. Rather than killing him however the stone kept him alive as it wreathed him burning fire, as all he could do was scream in pain. Over the years he tried to remove the stone to no avail, and after years of this intense pain after everyone he knew and loved died in meteorite strike he became mad, seeking to burn all in his path, with a fire so hot that it could even melt asbestos.

I'd be the Juggernaut, b*tch!

I kid, I kid. But seriously though, Juggernaut all the way. The above images are from when Colossus petitioned Cyttorak to grant him the power of the Juggernaut to stop Cain Marko, whom had been additionally empowered by one of the hammers sent to Earth by The Serpent of Asgard in the Fear Itself storyarc. One of my favorite panels from the issue is demonstrating a different aspect of the Juggernaut power when used by someone else and it was that Colossus could run at remarkable speeds, not be slow and ponderous like Cain Marko.
I've always thought the old "blue mage" concept from older Final Fantasy games would be a killer choice. Also, the thought occurred to me, what if someone with a latent power of their own found a stone? With those ideas in mind...
Tricyrtis - An odd fellow who never speaks to the press. His news name comes from the colors of his odd "street mage" outfit. He carries a staff with a bright color-changing stone on its end. His powers vary greatly, seeming to cover a wide gambit of magical abilities, making him difficult to predict.
Actual story: While bouldering in a remote region, he came across a bright color-changing stone. When he touched it, it's power flowed into him, turning the stone gray. He never knew that he had been an energy siphon his whole life, just at very low level. This latent ability had reacted with the stone. Who knows what the stone would have done normally, but his siphoning abilities were enhanced. Now, if he's hit by a metaphysical attack, he can absorb a portion of it, get a feel for it, and reproduce it at a lower level using the absorbed stone's energy as a magical power source.
The stone: It's possible, using the inert gray stone, that someone could take the power back from him, or even destroy the stone and destroy the power it's still linked to. As such, he still has to keep the stone safe. This is why he carries a mage's staff with a bright stone in it... as a decoy. Around his waist is a series of pouches that contain what seem to be various lesser magical sundries, none of which actually do anything. One said sundry, in the second pouch to his left, is an old tribal totem with a hollow core that secretly contains a regular boring-looking gray rock.
