My understanding is that Soon (tm) there will be waves of KS-backers with access to the Costume Creator and a small island walk and talk. Soon (tm) after that, Second Chance will start, where you can throw money at them to get access to the same island and Creator.

But if you want to throw toast at us, I won't mind. Just stick to rye or wheat. Pumpernickel gets a little weighty.
Wait until you see the... nope, that would ruin the surprise.
What about Dwarf Bread?

Not sure if it can be toasted. Possibly it can be melted.

I'm pretty sure the use of Dwarf Bread has been limited by the Uberwald accords.
Wait until you see the... nope, that would ruin the surprise.
Yes, but only in that you cannot feed it to non-dwarven prisoners. As ammunition it's fine.
Edited to fix the autoerror. What kind of cheap mundane dictionary doesn't have "dwarven" in it?

Um, no?
NDA and all that. Won't even be allowed to say you are in it, let alone post anything.
Sorry mate, gotta hold it till you asplode and even then . . .
I hope you forgot the /s (or /j for joke?) since as far as I have read here Issue 0, or at the latest Second Chance, will also be the beginning of their serious marketing push so having big restrictive NDA's beyond that would make no sense.
I AM READY TO DONATE!!! I've been waiting for years for this moment... My life feels like it is coming to completion lol

Which moment? If you mean issue 0 and second chance, that isn't now. So you still need to wait some time.

No joke. WE can't post! The DEVS CAN.
Yes, currently only the devs can but that will change before Issue 1 hits.
Can't find the posts but I am certain the devs have said that once Second Chance hits we will be able to show the game of in almost any way we want to. They have seriously implied that it will be part of the marketing push for Second Chance and after it.
Pretty sure Dr Tyche said the whole reason for Issue #0 was to show something tangible for the 2nd Chance fundraiser...so it wouldn't make sense for MWM to ban streamers and players from posting about Issue #0...
Compulsively clicking the refresh button until the next update.
The devs HAVE to be the ones to pick and choose what is appropriate to show, not us. Remember, Alpha/Beta. Nothing is set in stone and what ever is posted has to be something that doesn't give outsiders the wrong impressions.
Right, because only the Devs would know what they could actually 'Promise', as opposed to wild half-baked ideas.

This is especially important for things that will be cut. There's already plenty of salt over stuff from KS updates that can't come to fruition :/

Can’t really blame them when a lot of the progress is presented as text posts with not much to show.
Oooo, heavy
But I doubt they are going to have anything in Issue #0 that will be cut...wouldn't make sense to do all the work to have it in Issue #0.
Just to clarify exactly what I am talking about...I don't think they are going to have a problem with people sharing pictures of or streaming logging in to the chargen, creating a character, and running around the chat zone doing whatever they are able to do there. That is (at least one of) their big marketing pushes for 2nd Chance...they want everyone to see it.

It would be interesting to hear from MWM on this, because I can see the merits of each side of the discussion.
Can you imagine if they applied that rule to the forums? Removing the wild half-baked ideas would cut about 90% of the threads here!
Spurn all ye kindle.
If they are going to make that big changes between throughout Issue 0 then I don't think they were ready for Issue 0 in the first place, since the main point of Issue 0 is to test those things that will be in Issue 1. My understanding is that Issue 0 is mainly for integrating the different systems and for ironing out most of the bugs (really hard to be 100% bug free) so it should be way past alpha and at a (late?) beta stage in terms of development. Besides, waiting to starting up all the hype in regards to third-party sites, streamers, and such until after Issue 1 launches is not a good marketing move.
You are also implying that MWM would require people to send in their materials for approval which would most likely create a lot of extra work for the marketing team. That is if anyone send it in in the first place since many would fairly likely see it as too much work, or seeing it as an attempt to "scrub" it of anything "negative" (not just wrong but anything "negative"). And honestly, news sites would most likely jump on the "scrubbing" angle almost instantly which would become more damaging than some people getting the "wrong" impression.
Can only speak for myself but if a dev (doesn't matter if game or not) wants to have that much control of anything said by third-parties at that stage in development then I would jump to the conclusion that they have something to hide, and wait for some non-controlled reviews to surface before buying it (remember, CoT will have an upfront cost). I believe there are enough people in the world to make that a real concern when doing marketing.
Some ideas/concepts/applications are going to change during the beta process because of many varies ussues/problems.
Alpha state is more in the nature of testing the proof of concept model they have for CoT. A LOT will change! Hopefully just a lot of little things and no major changes.
Beta is more in the nature of smoothing things out. Tweaking, fine tuning, etc.
The DEVS need to be the ones to pick and choose what is available for public consumption, not us.
There will a Beta only forum for us to use and maybe we'll be allowed to post there and then the devs can pick and choose.
Is the beta only forum confirmed?
Edit:
Well, it's not streaming, but the writing should be okay.

Right, but nowhere near to the degree that someone would get the "wrong" impression about the basics of the game.
If they are still at alpha stage for even a single system by time of Issue 0 that is slated for Issue 1 then frankly they have done it wrong. They should be far beyond PoC by now so that for Issue 0 it's effectively only integration issues and fine-tuning left to do.
Right, and that's the main reason for Issue 0. Tweaking, fine-tuning, and integrating the different systems slated for Issue 1.
Lots of work for little benefit. I am not saying that they would necessarily remove the NDA as a whole, but they will significantly reduce the scope of it compared to now. They can still "choose" what is available, just that they don't need to do it on a per-piece basis but rather on a per-category basis.
By "we" do you mean everyone with an account or those who actually have access to Issue 0?
If the former then we'll probably not since I see no benefit in doing so, and also because I never seen anyone else do such.
If the latter then what would be the point of a beta forum if we couldn't discuss the beta itself? Even if you mean only "marketing material"-type posts I see no reason for them to make such posts off limits at all, especially in a non-public part of the forum.
Honestly, I have a hard time seeing why MWM would need to control everything that "leaves" the game during Issue 0. As I said before, that will most likely lead to a significant amount of people thinking "what are they hiding" and that is never a good thing.
Beta forums by their vary nature will only be accessible by those in the Beta.
Issue 0 is a combination of Alpha/Beta, initial data release will be by the will of the Devs, not us.
They will determine what is allowed and not us. Until they do, all that is spoken of in here is pure speculation. Even the things that I type here. However, there is a caveat to that: I have been beta testing games and other software platforms for more than 30 years. From the days of BBS text games to modern MMORPGs (Map/Texture holes are so much fun!). The level of "secrecy" is different for every platform and development setup.
As has been mentioned:
The problem is not that things might change. The problem is that features have not been fully integrated yet (when it comes to publicizing the game). So the onus is on MWM to clearly identify feature sets that are in the build and what is not. Then it is the responsibility of the broadcaster (streamer or whatever) to let their audience know about those limitations on the current build so their expectations/evaluations do not negatively impact City of Titans.
If you just casually throw any old video/stream out to the masses they are going to view it with the lens of their own expectations (and potentially crap all over it). Look at how perceptions of the cape in the Santa/MissionGenerator videos perpetuated the negative commentary. If you take the time to frame the experience that you are providing, it is more likely to be seen in a better light.
