Please read the current update for instructions on downloading the latest update. Players with Mac versions of the game will not be affected, but you will have a slightly longer wait for your version of the new maps. Please make a copy of your character folder before running the new update, just to make sure you don't lose any of your custom work.

It looks like we can give everyone a list of minimum specs for running City of Titans. Please keep in mind that this is 'for now' until we are able to add more graphics and other system refinements. Currently you will need :
Windows 10 or later required; no Intel integrated graphics like UHD, must have AMD or NVIDIA card or discrete chipset with 4Gb or more of VRAM
At least 16GB of main DRAM.
These stats may change as we continue to test.

To purchase your copy of the City of Titans Launcher, visit our store at https://store.missingworldsmedia.com/ A purchase of $50 or more will give you a link to download the Launcher for Windows or Mac based machines.

Corporate Buyout of MWM and CoT

I'm not sure if this has been covered already but it's something that has been on my mind the last few days.

I just want to get a feel for everyone elses thoughts and opinions about a corporate buyout. As a community are we ok with this project being backed by a major developer?

A few questions for MWM as well.

Has this possibility been considered?
With the project being funded, have you thought about this being an incentive for a large company to consider backing/buying the project?
Have you approached any major game developers or other corporations with the project for possible funding?

This is just something I've been thinking about lately. I feel that it's definitely a real possibility, and that as a community we should be aware of how this might affect the game that we've all been spending our time and money to support.

Once burned, twice shy.

Once burned, twice shy.

I can't speak for MWM at all, but I seem to recall something about not wanting to risk losing control to a corporation who cares only for the bottom line and might shut down the game without warning again. There are certainly several (Many. Most?) big developers that I'd trust about as far as I could throw Mount Rushmore. But I suppose that it might be possible, if a contract could be drawn up that would explicitly prevent the corporation from damaging the game with ill-considered directives. I find it unlikely, though.

No corporate buyouts. It will

No corporate buyouts. It will be player-owned and -developed.

Not that there can't be corporate involvement, but the reigns will never be given to a for-profit corporate entity that isn't owned by the player-creators.

It makes more sense that we

It makes more sense that we as Heroes, try our best to Tredge up the Hill on our own 2 feet, than accept a lift.
Well, unless you're on vacation and going Skiing :D

Thank you. This is exactly the kind of response I was hoping for.

This stance right here is to

This stance right here is to be expected from MWM, who after all are the same people who got burned in the CoH shutdown as all the rest of us. That it is very firmly and clearly stated is very gratifying, and reaffirms the faith I already have in this venture. Thank you.

Hardly. I played that game all of 5 minutes before never logging in again. Although, I was at SOE headquarters when the game was announced...
